𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟯 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 - 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗜𝗗𝗗𝗘𝗡 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧

When they were choosing a replacement for Judas, they did not rely on human assessment. They cried out:

 

"And they prayed and said, 'You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen.'"  — 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝟭:𝟮𝟰 (𝗡𝗞𝗝𝗩)

 

"You, O Lord, who KNOW the hearts of ALL."

 

Not the pastor. Not the prophet. Not the counselor. Not the spouse. Not the best friend. Only God.

 

Let me go further, and I need you to receive this with trembling reverence: You do not know the heart of the person sleeping beside you. You do not know the heart of the children you raised. You do not know the heart of the friend you call Rafiki. You do not know the heart of the colleague you trust with your secrets.

 

And here is the most terrifying revelation of all — you do not even fully know your own heart.

Desperately wicked! Not mildly flawed. Not slightly imperfect. Desperately wicked. The Hebrew word is anash — incurable, desperately sick, beyond human diagnosis. Your heart is a labyrinth that only the Holy Spirit can navigate.

2 Samuel 14:25 declares:

 

"Now in all Israel there was no one who was praised as much for his handsomeness as Absalom. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him." — 2 Samuel 14:25 (NKJV)

 

Flawless. Symmetrical. Breathtaking. From head to toe — no blemish. If Absalom were alive today, he would dominate every magazine cover, every social media feed, every red carpet. The world would worship at the altar of his appearance.

 

But what was inside that beautiful exterior?

 

Treason. Rebellion. Murder. Incest. Conspiracy against his own father, King David — the very man who gave him life. Absalom's beauty was a mask. His charm was a weapon. His appearance was a trap.

  

Is beauty a sin? Absolutely not! God is the Master Artist. He is the God who beautifies His people. Psalm 149:4 says, "For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation." Beauty is a gift. 

But hear me — in the divine order of God, the inside must precede the outside. The interior must govern the exterior. The hidden man must dictate the visible man.

"But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'" — 1 Samuel 16:7 (NKJV)

 

Do you hear what God is saying?

 

When Samuel walked into the house of Jesse, he saw Eliab — tall, striking, regal. Samuel's prophetic instinct said, "Surely this is the Lord's anointed!" 

But God stopped him mid-thought. God interrupted human logic. God overruled fleshly perception and declared: "I have refused him."

 

Why? Because the anointing does not reside in the jawline. The calling does not live in the complexion. The destiny of a man is not encoded in his physical stature.

God bypassed seven sons — seven outwardly qualified candidates — to find a shepherd boy in the field, a boy nobody thought to invite, a boy whose heart was already tuned to the frequency of heaven.

 

The world audits your résumé. God audits your righteousness. The world counts your followers. God counts your faithfulness. The world measures your platform. God measures your purity.

𝟭 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝟯𝟬:𝟮𝟬, "𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱'𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗹."

Not only did David recover what was lost—he gained abundance. The enemy came to steal; David left with spoil. God doesn't just restore you to where you were; He advances you beyond where you were.

Shift your mindset from "getting back" to "moving forward." When God restores, expect increase. Be ready to steward the "spoil"—the extra blessing, the new opportunity, the unexpected favor. Don't just recover; advance.

Unless God had remembered Abraham and His covenant with him, Lot would have perished in the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Bible says in 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝟭𝟵:𝟮𝟵 that God "remembered Abraham" and rescued Lot from the destruction that came upon those cities.

When Rachel longed to bear children but remained barren, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝟯𝟬:𝟮𝟮 tells us that "God remembered Rachel." The Lord opened her womb, and she conceived.

When the children of Israel groaned under the bondage of Egypt, 𝗘𝘅𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝟮:𝟮𝟰 declares that "God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." His remembrance marked the beginning of their deliverance.

When Mary conceived Jesus by the Holy Spirit, she glorified God because He had remembered His mercy, just as He had promised to Abraham and his descendants (𝗟𝘂𝗸𝗲 𝟭:𝟱𝟰–𝟱𝟱).

This verse is meticulous. It covers every category: people, possessions, status, legacy. Nothing. Was. Lacking.

God knows what was taken. He knows the small things you think no one notices. He knows the great things you thought were gone forever. When He restores, He doesn't approximate; He itemizes. 

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:

I prophesy that your restoration will be so precise, so detailed, that you will look back and say, "God remembered everything." Nothing you lost will be overlooked. No tear, no dream, no relationship is too small for God's recovery. In Jesus' name!
