PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 15.11.2016 "DEALING WITH HYPOCRISY AND HYPOCRITES"

INTRODUCTION

It is easier to deal with enemies (those you know who hate you) than to deal with hypocrites (double-faced people who pretend to be while they are not, to love while they hate, to work with while they work against).

From Scriptures, it is clear that the devil is the biggest hypocrite as Jesus labeled him as “the liar and the Father of lie” (John 8:44). Therefore, as dangerous as the devil is, so is the hypocrite because both play the same game in the same team.

WHAT IS HYPOCRISY?

From the Gospel, we discover that hypocrisy takes 4 major forms:

1st form: Professing belief in something and then acting in a manner contrary to that belief,

Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

2nd form: Saying, speaking and doing without the heart being involved, committed and dedicated.

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart [is] not with thee.

3rd form: Looking down on others when we ourselves are flawed.

Matthew 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

4th form: Working hard to appear beautiful, righteous, spiritual, giver outwardly and externally in order to gain others’ approval and praise while inwardly it is full of dirt

Matthew 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

How to deal with hypocrisy and hypocrites ?

1st TOOL: TIME

Nothing that is covered and hidden today remains and will remain always covered and hidden. One day, it will be uncovered and exposed in the light.

Mark 4:22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was anything kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

2nd TOOL: LIGHT

Hypocrisy lasts as long as it is not exposed, perceived and discovered.

Unless the mask-wearer drops himself the mask off of the face by repenting, the power of the light of the Lord through the discernment of spirits will expose him/her.

Luke 20:23 But Jesus perceived their craftiness, and said unto them, Why tempt ye me?

3rd TOOL: TRUTH

Be true everywhere. Be true every time. Be true every day. Be true to God. Be true to yourself. Be true to others. Love in truth. Pray in truth. Why ?

  • Because truth is ageless, timeless , changeless and undefeatable.

  • Because the Word of God is Truth (John 17:17), God is the Truth (John 17:17)

2 Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

Romans 12:9 [Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

LET US ENGAGE  PRAYER

PRAYER 1

Pray that God grants you the grace of truthfulness in every area of your life
1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

PRAYER 2

Pray the Lord our Father for a discerning spirit enabling us to detect the fake who hides behind the sheep’s clothing and to perceive the hidden wickedness of the wicked

1 Corinthians 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

Matthew 22:18 …Jesus perceived their wickedness…

PRAYER 3

Pray the Lord and Father to cause the masks to fall off of the face of the false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravening wolves

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 06.11.2016 "BEING SLOW TO SPEAK IS THE CURE TO BEING QUICK TO ANGER"

IT IS WRITTEN

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

To be slow to speak means to know what to do before speaking and when to speak.

Scriptures teach us that the swifter you hear, the slower you will speak and the slower you will be inclined to anger.

It means therefore that our quickness to anger is essentially linked to our quickness to speak. In other words, quick angered people are essentially quick speaker people.

From Scriptures, quick speakers are identified as fools. They promise what they will never deliver. They say what they will never do. They speak out of excitement and lack commitment.

To be slow to speak is to be wise and to be wise is to be slow to speak.

Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth [it], it [is] folly and shame unto him.

Proverbs 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: [and] a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

Before I speak 3 questions must be asked:

1st question: Should I say it?

In Ephesians 4:29, it is written
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”

We learn that our words must meet the following requirements:

1st requirement:  They should never hurt others, i.e. it should never be corrupt, rotten, putrefied or worthless

2nd requirement: They should build up (not destroy) those who hear them

3rd requirement: They should minister grace unto our hearers

PRAYER 1

My Father and My God, I come before you and ask you to forgive me for the words that had hurt and destroy others. Forgive me anytime my words have not ministered grace to others. I dedicate my mouth as an instrument destined to communicate grace and grace alone IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

======================================

2nd question: Is it me who should say it?

This question means that I should always ask myself if what I say or what I want to say is appropriate for me as God’s holy people, as servant of God or as son or daughter of God. In other words, what comes out my mouth should not cause people to question my identity of a citizen of the Kingdom or of a Son of God.

Scriptures teach us that many things like idle words, filthiness, foolish talking, jesting, backbiting, tale bearing, and slander–should not be spoken by a Son of God.
Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
PRAYER 2

Father, I thank you today for my new nature in Christ. How I pray that my mouth shall not and never contradict my new nature in Christ but rather reflect who I am in Christ. Let my mouth confirm that I am born again, I am saved, I am forgiven, I am a citizen of the Kingdom of God, I am blessed…. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

1 Kings 17:24 The woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou [art] a man of God, [and] that the word of the LORD in thy mouth [is] truth.

======================================
3rd question: Should I say it now?

Solomon said there is a time for everything: “A time to keep silence, and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:7).

But knowing the right time requires discretion and prudence, two branches of wisdom that help to restrain words and actions until one grasps a situation clearly and can wisely choose a godly response.

In other words, I should ask myself such questions : after speaking, will I keep my word? will I commit myself to it? won't I change my mind when things will be tough?
Proverbs 17:27 He that hath knowledge spareth his words: [and] a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

PRAYER 3

My God and my Father, by your Spirit, fill me with discretion and prudence you and baptize me with your wisdom, knowledge and understanding so that I may know the right time to speak or not to speak IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !

PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 05.11.2016 "BEING SWIFT TO HEAR IS THE CURE TO BEING QUICK TO ANGER"

IT IS WRITTEN

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
To be slow to anger is not an option but a divine command. In order to be slow to anger, one must be swift to hear as Scriptures declare.

What is it to be swift to hear ? It is to be a patient, skillful, attentive and disciplined listener not a quick speaker.

From the scripture above, we learn that the swifter you hear, the slower you will speak and the slower you will be inclined to anger.

What does it mean ? It means that quick angered people are essentially poor listener people.

What does it take to be swift to hear? Here are 4 biblical tips :

          1st tip : Hear patiently. In other words, hear and be patient until your interlocutor finishes speaking

     Job 32:4 Elihu waited as they spoke to Job because they were older than he was.
Job 32:11 I waited for you to speak. I listened for you to share your understanding until you could find the right words.

PRAYER 1

My God and my Father, I know I cannot by myself to wait until the speaker finishes speaking. I am impatient. I come before you today with humility and I pray you to forgive me my impatience. By your Spirit, you grant me the grace to master myself and to be a patient listener IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.
2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all [men], apt to teach, patient,
=======================================

2nd tip: Hear with simplicity. In other words, hear with an open-heart not with predefined conclusion.
Proverbs 18:13 Whoever gives an answer before he listens is stupid and shameful.
PRAYER 2

My God my Father, anytime I hear others, I have my own conclusions already set up. I always hear from my own-built box. I understand today why I get confused and ashamed. I humbly come before you and I pray that by your Spirit you help me to hear with an open-mind and with simplicity IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
Acts 16:14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard [us]: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
  =======================================

  3rd tip: Hear actively. In other words, Hear without assuming anything but asking questions to ensure you got what the person is saying.
Proverbs 13:20 Whoever walks with wise people will be wise, but whoever associates with fools will suffer.
Mark 4:10 When he was alone with his followers and the twelve apostles, they asked him about the stories.
Luke 2:46 It came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

PRAYER 3

My God and my Father, I pray that you baptize me with your wisdom from above thereby causing me to be an attentive and constructive hearer IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

  =======================================

    4th tip: Hear wisely and sensitively. In other words, if the interlocutor gets worked up or angered in the communication process, don't pursue it, leave off contention until a more favorable time when the weapons are off of his hands.

Proverbs 17:14 Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before the argument gets out of control.

PRAYER 4

My God and my Father, I pray today for your grace to never be quarrelsome. By your spirit, keep me from being hot-tempered, querulous and argumentative. Use me as a vessel of peace and blessing IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.
 Proverbs 17:19 He loveth transgression that loveth strife: [and] he that exalteth his gate seeketh destruction. Proverbs 29:22 An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression.

PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 01.11.2016 "CHRISTLIKENESS"

We learn from Scriptures that to be a Christian is not a title. It is about being like Jesus Christ. What does it mean to be like Jesus Christ?

Scriptures teach us that no one can be like Jesus Christ unless he/she belongs to Him. No one belongs to Jesus Christ unless he/she has his Spirit.
Romans 8:9 … Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

How therefore one knows that he/she has the Spirit of Christ ? The Bible gives us 4 irrefutable proofs :

1st proof: I know that I have the Spirit of Christ when I have the same attitude that Jesus had. It means when I think, I understand things, I see things from the same perspective than Jesus Christ.

Philippians 2:5 Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Question : DO I HAVE THE SAME ATTITUDE THAT JESUS CHRIST HAD?
PRAYER 1

Father, as I usher in this month of November 2016, I pray that you baptize me with the Spirit of Christ so that I may feel what Jesus feels, see what Jesus sees, see things the way Jesus sees, speaks the way Christ speaks, behave the way Christ behaves.

====================================================
2nd proof: I know that I have the Spirit of Christ when I walk the way Jesus Christ walked. The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ walked his entire life in two ways : he walked in love and in light.

Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, …

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, …

Question : DO I WALK IN LOVE AND IN LIGHT THE WAY JESUS CHRIST WALKED IN THE WORLD?
PRAYER 2

Father, I pray that by your Spirit you transform the way I  walk.

Grant me in this month of November 2016 the grace to walk the way Jesus Christ walked : in love and in light.

====================================================

3rd proof: I know that I have the Spirit of Christ when I follow Christ. Scriptures teach us that following Jesus Christ means two things : following his instructions and teachings and following his example.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

John 13:34 "I’m giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you.
Question : DO I FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST WHOLEHEARTEDLY ?

PRAYER 3

Father, forgive me anytime I didn’t follow Jesus’ instructions and examples. Forgive my stubbornness and my disobedience.

Grant me in this month of November 2016 the grace by your Spirit to follow Christ with all my heart, my spirit, my mind and my thought.

====================================================
4th proof: I know I have the Spirit of Christ when I do the works (miracles, signs, wonders…) he did

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Question : DO I DO THE WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST ?
PRAYER 4

Father, as I usher in ths new month, I pray that you use me as your vessel to do and display the works of Christ as never before. Let the sick be healed through me. Let the dead be resurrected through me. Let the blind recover sight through me. Let the whole world know Jesus Christ through me.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !!!!!!!
