INTRODUCTION
There is a silent killer of destiny called boredom. It is silent because no one realizes its danger both in our daily life in general and in our Christian life in particular.
Boredom is that silent killer that caused David to fall into sexual sin with Bathsheba and the same is silently killing many today consciously and unconsciously.
WHAT IS BOREDOM?
Boredom is the emotional or physical state one experiences due to lack of mental stimulation, activities to do, or interest in one’s surroundings.

WHAT IS BOREDOM?
Boredom is the emotional or physical state one experiences due to lack of mental stimulation, activities to do, or interest in one’s surroundings.
According to this definition, we understand that boredom comes not necessarily when you have nothing to do but also when what you do no longer excites or stimulates you. You lack interest. You lack passion. You lack the inner fire. You lack the inner drive. You feel empty. It looks like life is a monotonous activity that doesn't bring joy or fulfillment to you.
Praying can become boring. Meditating the Word of God can become boring.
Going to church can become boring. The things of God can become boring. Your marriage can become boring. Your work can become boring.
Everything around you can become boring.
The question is "what to do to overcome boredom?"; "what to do to reignite the fire in you?"
3 ATTITUDES TO OVERCOME BOREDOM
ATTITUDE 1/ Stop doing what you do (prayer, meditation, giving, going to church, ...) as a routine. Doing so reduces you to a machine. It shows that your heart is not engaged to it. Anytime your heart is no longer in something, automatically emptiness takes place
What to do? What does the Bible say? Paul says in Colossians 3:23
"Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."
ATTITUDE 2/ Whatever you do, do it consciously, meaning with and from the heart (prayer, meditation, giving, going to church, tithing, washing dishes, washing clothes, cooking, .driving, going to work, ..)
ATTITUDE 3 / See what you do as doing it to the Lord not to men (prayer, meditation, giving, going to church, tithing, washing dishes, washing clothes, cooking, .driving, going to work, ..)
ATTITUDE 4 / See that there is a reward from the Lord for whatever you do from your heart. Yes. There's a reward in prayer. There's a reward in meditating the Word. There's a reward in giving. There's a reward in tithing. There's a reward in washing dishes, washing clothes, cooking, .driving, going to work, ...
