"AGAIN"

AGAIN IS A SMALL WORD BUT IT CARRIES TREMENDOUS POWER IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM TO BRING FORTH SUCCESS IN YOUR LIFE.

AGAIN IS THE CURE TO DISCOURAGEMENT, THE SOLUTION TO TIRENESS AND THE KEY TO SUCCESS IN LIFE.

DO YOU WANT TO DRIVE THE DEVIL CRAZY AND MAD? ONE THING "PRAY AGAIN .... PRAY AGAIN ... PRAY AGAIN"

Listen to what the unrighteous say, 

"Because this widow is a trouble to me, I will give her her right; for if not, I will be completely tired out by her frequent coming." (Luke 18:5)

IN JESUS NAME, I SEE THE DEVIL STOP BEING A TROUBLE TO YOU BUT YOU BECOMING A TROUBLE TO THE DEVIL.

THE POWER OF AGAIN IN THE LIFE OF ISAAC

Just one little but powerful word AGAIN has empowered Isaac to move forward and succeed in a foreign land despite the rejection and the opposition of his enemies.

Isaac digged again and again and again until the Lord turned him from "nothing" to "something", from "rejected" to "celebrated" and the Philistines from "enemies" to "allies".

We discover this marvelous story in Genesis 26 showing us how "again" carries tremendous power in the process of the change of level, growth and success in our daily walk with the Lord.

After God had blessed Isaac who became extremely great in the land of the Philistines, we read in Genesis 26:14 that "the Philistines envied him". 

In Genesis 26:15, we read that the same Philistines, moved with envy "stopped Isaac's wells and filled them with earth". 

In Genesis 26:16, the King himself chases Isaac away of the land, "Go from us, for thou are much mightier than we".

After the rejection, Isaac did not fall into depression nor complained, murmured or begged. Just because the wells were stopped, nothing stopped Isaac. Rather, he kept moving, going forward and digging other wells.

In Genesis 26:18, the Bible says, "And Isaac digged again ..." 

In Genesis 26:21 "And they digged [again] another well ... ' 

In Genesis 26:22 "And he removed from thence, and digged [again] another well ... and he called the name of it Rehoboth; and he said, For now the LORD hath made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.

Amazingly, after digging again and again, we discover in Genesis 26:28 that the people who envied Isaac, stopped his wells and rejected him, the same come back to him with different language and attitude,

"And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, [even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

CONCLUSION

Concerning Adam and Eve, after Abel’s death, they did not fold their hands mourning over and over. Rather, the Bible says that Adam knew his wife again,

"Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son and called his name Seth. "For God," said she, "hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew." (Genesis 4:25)

Concerning Elijah, heaven did not give rain because he prayed but because he prayed again as it is written in James 5:18

"And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

Concerning Peter, he worked hard the whole night but got nothing. Despite his discouragement, Jesus instructed him to go deeper and throw againt his net for a draught.

"And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net." (Luke 5:5)

⏩ COVENANT OF PREVAILING PRAYER ⏪ KEY 28 "BE EXPECTANT"

SCRIPTURE

Acts 3:5 So the man watched them closely. He expected to receive something from them.

KEY STATEMENT

A pregnant woman never lives anyhow, never eats anything, never goes anywhere, never reacts anyhow. She lives so expectant that her expectation affects her lifestyle.

As sons of the Most High, we should not only pray but also pray expecting an encounter with the Lord and a supernatural touch from the Lord.

The reason why most of the prayers are not answered is not because God is deficient but because expectation is deficient.

4 REASONS WE NEED EXPECTATION TO PREVAIL IN PRAYER

I. Expectation has the power to preserve and prolong life

Expectation keeps young. Expectation has the power to stop the ageing process. There are many people who have died before their time because they simply have nothing to live for. 

In Joshua 14:10-11, Caleb confirms how through expectation he was kept 40 years until at 85 years he was still strong,

”Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! I AM STILL AS STRONG today as the day Moses sent me out; I’M JUST AS VIGOROUS to go out to battle now as I was then“.

II. The higher the expectation, the higher the attention … 

Expectation creates the atmosphere for faith to work by increasing our attention and focus

The Bible speaks about the paralytic who got his miracle just because he was expecting to receive something from the hand of the apostles,

"When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, Look at us! So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God" (Acts 3:5-8)

III. The higher the expectation, the higher the determination … 

It is not opposition, obstacles, complications or impediments that make someone give up. It is lack of expectation

In the Gospel of Mark, the Bible tels a story of four men who came with a paralytic for his healing. But as soon as they reached the gate, there was an obstacle that could not allow them to reach out to Jesus. Instead of being discouraged, the expectation in them was so high that they let the paralytic to get to Jesus through the roof

"Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying." (Mark 2:1-4)

MY PRAYER TODAY

Father, revive my expectation today in the Name of Jesus Christ!

⏩ COVENANT OF PREVAILING PRAYER ⏪ KEY 27 "STOP MURMURING"

SCRIPTURE

John 6:43 "Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves."

KEY STATEMENT

There are quite a few complainers in the Bible. Adam complains about his wife giving him the fruit (Genesis 3:12), and his son Cain complained in his heart about God liking his brother's sacrifice better than his (Genesis 4:6). 

Among many of the reasons why the people of Israel got stuck in the wilderness  turning in circle for 40 years, one of them is called MURMURINGS. This is what Paul states in 1 Corinthians 10:10

"Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer."

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT COMPLAINING?

1st thing : Not murmuring is a command from the Lord Himself. 

John 6:43 "Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves."

2nd thing : The believer must do everything God wants him to do without any trace of murmuring both in his heart and in his mouth. Otherwise, he won't be blessed at all.

2 Corinthians 9:7 "Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver."

Philippians 2:14 "Do all things without murmurings and disputings" 

1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

3rd thing : God hears people's murmurings and judges complainers severely sometimes kill them.

Exodus 16:7 "And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what [are] we, that ye murmur against us?"

Exodus 16:12 "I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD your God."

WHAT ARE THE SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES OF MURMURING? 

1st consequence : When Miriam (Moses' sister) complained about Moses, God's servant, she was plagued with leprosy until Moses, the one she complained about, prayed for her to be restored.

Numbers 12:1 And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman. [...] Numbers 12:10 And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam [became] leprous, [white] as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, [she was] leprous.

2nd consequence - - When the children of Israel murmured against the Lord and against Moses, fiery serpents came out in the desert and bit the people who died there until the man they complained about prayed for the rest to be kept alive.

Numbers 21:5-6  And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. 6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

1 Corinthians 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

3rd consequence - - Murmuring is a sin and therefore attracts curse in the life of the individual.

Numbers 21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

4th consequence - - Murmuring destroys my harvest and as a matter of fact my life and my future.

Joel 1:12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, [even] all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

5th consequence - - There is no reward and no blessing attached to whatsoever I do with murmur. Why ? Because I do just to show openly that I do with the purpose of pleasing but my heart is not involved. 

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Matthew 11:6 And blessed is [he], whosoever shall not be offended in me.

HOW DO I STOP MURMURING?

1ST THING : Consider that murmuring is sinning against God. Therefore repent for everytime you have murmured for the rain, for the mud, for the dust, for things around you. 

Numbers 21:7 "... We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee;..."

2nd THING : Avail yourself to be a self-will obedient to the Lord and He will bless you.

John 10:18 "No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

3rd THING : Decide to always rejoice and make thanksgivings your lifestyle.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: [and] again I say, Rejoice.

4th THING : When someone does something that displeases you, pray about it, ask God for wisdom, book an appointment with the person, talk to him about it. If he understands and apologizes, glory to God. If not, leave him alone and move on.

Matthew 18:15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 

16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.

17  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

5th THING : Consider that God gains nothing from you but you gain everything from God. Therefore, whatever he commands you to do is for your own advantage not for God's advantage.

Job 22:3 "[Is it] any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or [is it] gain [to him], that thou makest thy ways perfect?"

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS 

# HEAVENLY FATHER, FORGIVE AND DELIVER ME FROM MURMURING AGAINST YOU. BY YOUR MERCY AND FAVOUR, BLOW ON ME THE SPIRIT OF THANKSGIVING  AND DELIGHTFUL OBEDIENCE SO THAT I WILL BE WELL-PLEASING TO YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# HEAVENLY FATHER, FILL ME WITH THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM SO THAT I WILL KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH OFFENCES IN A GODLY WAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# HEAVENLY FATHER, FILL ME WITH HEAVENLY AND UNSPEAKABLE JOY SO THAT I WILL NOT FALL IN THE TRAP OF MURMURING AND COMPLAINING AGAINST YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# HEAVENLY FATHER, OPEN MY SPIRITUAL EYES SO THAT I WILL CONSIDER THAT OBEDIENCE TO YOU IS FOR MY ADVANTAGE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

# HEAVENLY FATHER, BY YOUR SPIRIT, CAUSE ME TO DO EVERYTHING YOU ASK ME TO DO (PRAYER, MEDITATION OF THE WORD, ATTENDING FELLOWSHIP, GIVING, HOSPITALITY ...) WITHOUT ANY TRACE OF GRUDGE OR COMPLAINT BUT WITH JOY UNSPEAKABLE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

KEY STATEMENT 

THE ENEMY WHO HAS PUT YOUR LIFE, YOUR HEALTH, YOUR FINANCES, YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR EMOTIONS, YOUR FEELINGS UNDER SIEGE, UNDER STRESS, UNDER DEPRESSION, ARE JUST WAITING FOR YOU TO ARISE SO THAT THEY CAN FLEE ...
THE SAME WAY JESUS CHRIST INSTRUCTED THIS MAN TO RISE, THE SAME WAY JESUS CHRIST IS INSTRUCTING YOU TODAY TO RISE AND GET OUT OF WHAT GROUNDS YOU TODAY.

UNTIL YOU ARISE, THAT SIEGE WILL CONTINUE ....

ARISE AND READ YOUR BIBLE!
ARISE AND FORGIVE!
ARISE AND MOVE ON!
ARISE AND GET A JOB !

FOUR REASONS WHY YOU MUST RISE

1st reason : UNTIL YOU RISE, THE SIEGE OF THE ENEMY AGAINST YOUR LIFE WILL CONTINUE

• It is only when the lepers arose in 2 Kings 7:5 that the syrians fled in 2 Kings 7:6 putting an end to a long lasting cruel and unnecessary siege

2 Kings 7:5 And the 4 lepers rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, [there was] no man there. [...] 2 Kings 7:7 Wherefore the Syrians arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp as it [was], and fled for their life.

2nd reason : UNTIL YOU RISE, THIS MISERY WILL CONTINUE

• It is only when the prodigal son arose in Luke 15:20 that the Father ran to him and received him back putting the end of his miserable and sinful life.

Luke 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

3rd reason : UNTIL YOU RISE, THIS UNSETTLEMENT WILL CONTINUE

• It is only when Deborah arose in Judgs 4:6 that the Lord discomfited Sisera, and all [his] chariots, and all [his] host, with the edge of the sword before Barak. In Judges 4:15 , it was the end of the unsettlement in the whole country.

Judges 5:6 In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travellers walked through byways. 7 The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.

4th reason : UNTIL YOU RISE, YOU WILL NEVER SHINE

• When the Bible says "ARISE AND SHINE"…we can notice that there are two parts: the first part is ARISE and the second part is SHINE. Those two parts are linked and the second depends on the first. It means that if you want to shine, you must stand up, you must arise, you must wake up, you must get our of your bed. Which means consequently that if you don’t stand up, you will not shine.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

THREE THINGS TO DO IF YOU MUST RISE

1) HAVE A MEETING WITH YOURSELF AND GIVE YOURSELF TIME TO THINK.

The lepers had a meeting with themselves. They asked to one another one question in 2 Kings 7:3 "Why sit we here until we die?"

It is only after having that meeting with themselves that the Bible says in 2 Kings 7:5 "THEY ROSE UP IN THE TWILIGHT TO GO"

In the midst of his crisis, the prodigal son called himself for a meeting. The Bible says in Luke 15:17, "When he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!" It is only after this meeting with himself that in verse 20 the Bible says, "HE AROSE".

You are not going to see much solution in life until you are a friend of ‘why’! Why is a motivational three letter word. So don’t throw away the whys of your life, stir them up until you find solution to your life.

Why do I seem not to be making progress?

Why am I poor? Why are things tight for me?

Why am I always in trouble? 

Why can’t I achieve like my colleagues who are genuinely doing well not thieves and corrupters?

Why is the ministry not moving forward?

Why is my marriage what it is?

If you are separated or divorced, why am I separated or divorced?

Why am I not making progress in my academics?

Why is my business stagnating or stagnated?

Why am I not married? 

Why am I not pregnant? 

Why is my wife not pregnant? 

Why can’t I keep my job? 

Why do I have sleepless nights? 

Why can’t I push my ideas through?

Why is the nation in famine?

Why this, why that? 

Why can’t we change our destiny? 

Why can’t we take a bold step of faith, of adventure to success?

Why am I living in the fear of the unknown?

2) IN THE MEETING WITH YOURSELF, BE SENSITIVE TO THE STILL SMALL VOICE OF GOD.

God usually does not speak in a loud voice; people with real authority do not have to. His is the type of voice that one must get close to to hear. “Incline your ear,” He says.

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David. Isaiah 55:3

That is why in Isaiah 30:21, God says, "And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

3) AFTER YOU HAVE HEARD, DO WHATEVER HE WILL TELL YOU TO DO.

In 2 Kings 7:5, the Bible says that the four lepers ‘AROSE” to go unto the camp of the Syrians. 

In verse 7, the Syrians fled because as they were moving, the Lord broke the siege of the Syrians by supernaturally turning the footsteps of the lepers into a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, [even] the noise of a great host causing the Syrians to flee.

• Moses stretched the rod in the natural. God parted the red sea supernaturally.
• The lepers walked in the natural. God turned their footsteps in a noise of horses supernaturally.
• Peter threw the net in the natural. God filled it with fish supernaturally.
• The people had to roll away the stone so that Jesus could bring back Lazarus to life.
• God provided the manna but the people had to go out to collect it.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

PRAYER 1 | Today, God is commanding you to arise to possess your God ordained  possession.  In the Name of Jesus Christ, no one will take it away from you because it is for you. ARISE TODAY AND TAKE IT !

DECLARE IT AND PRAY-----------------

PRAYER 2 | Today is the day God wants you to arise from murmuring and complaining to worship Him. He wants you to allow him to fill your mouth with songs of worship. He wants you to offer unto Him sweet sacrifices and build altar that honors him.

DECLARE IT AND PRAY-----------------

PRAYER 3 | Today, as you arise from that statu quo and take the step of faith, I see your enemies who hold back illegally your wealth releasing it back to you in the Name of Jesus Christ!

DECLARE IT AND PRAY-----------------

SO SHALL IT BE!

⏩ COVENANT OF PREVAILING PRAYER ⏪ KEY 25 "PRAY FOR OTHERS"

SCRIPTURE

Job 42:10 "The LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."

ILLUSTRATION

Once a group of 50 people were attending a seminar. Suddenly the speaker stopped and started giving each one a balloon.

Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker pen. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room. Now these delegates were let in that room and asked to find the balloon which had their name written, within 5minutes. 

Everyone was frantically searching for their name, colliding with each other, pushing around others and there was utter chaos. At the end of 5minutes no one could find their own balloon. Now each one was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloon.

The speaker began - Exactly this is happening in our lives.

Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all around, not knowing where it is.

Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Give them their happiness, you will get your own happiness. And this is the purpose of human life.

APPLICATION TO PRAYER

So many people never get answers to their prayers and get spiritually because of so much selfishness and self centeredness in their heart.

In the wisdom of God, your own advancement will happen only if you commit yourself to advance somebody else. In other words, you will have to cause someone else to advance so that you will also advance.

BIBLICAL CASES

1st case : It was only after Job prayed for others that God turned his captivity.

Job 42:10 "The LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before."

2nd case : It was only after Hannah vowed to give to the Lord her baby boy that God opened her womb.

1 Samuel 1:11 "And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head."

1 Samuel 1:17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant [thee] thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

3rd case : It was only after Peter gave out the boat to be used for the advancement of the Gospel that his own advancement took place.

Luke 5:3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. [...] Luke 5:6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

1) UNTIL YOU LIVE AS A SEED, YOU HAVE NOT YET STARTED LIVING. 

MY PRAYER TODAY : PRAY THE LORD TO DESTROY ANY SELFISH MENTALITY BY GRANTING YOU TO LIVE AS A SEED.

2) YOUR WORTH IS NOT IN WHAT YOU HAVE BUT IN WHAT YOU ADD. IT IS NOT IN WHAT YOU EARN OR WHAT YOU GET BUT IN WHAT YOU GIVE.

MY PRAYER TODAY : PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL CHANGE YOUR MINDSET TODAY! 

SO SHALL IT BE!
