PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 04.11.2016 "DEALING WITH THE POISONOUS ROOT OF BITTERNESS"

IT IS WRITTEN

Hebrews 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;

This text teaches us four major lessons about the nature of bitterness :

1st lesson: Bitterness is a root.

As a root, bitterness is hidden in the heart. It is invisible, unseen, imperceptible and hardly noticeable.

Indeed, a smile on the face can hide bitterness in the heart.

PRAY TO UPROOT BITTERNESS

My God my Father, I pray today that every plant of bitterness which you hath not planted, shall be rooted up now IN JESUS NAME!!!” (Matthew 15:13).

Father, the same way Jesus Christ cursed the fig tree, by the same authority, I curse any root of bitterness in my heart and command it to die IN JESUS NAME!!! (Marc 11:13-14)

2nd lesson: Bitterness is a poison

As a poison, bitterness in the heart causes sickness and kills.

It is a sign that the soul has been bitten by the Old snake called the devil

PRAY TO DETOXIFY YOUR SOUL FROM THE POISON OF BITTERNESS

My Father, I pray that any trace of bitterness be flushed out of my heart, my mind, my thoughts right now.  Cleanse me and purify me by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ!!!

3rd lesson: Bitterness is contagious.

Being contagious, bitterness in the heart has a capacity to spread, affect and infect negatively the surrounding: destroying relationships, causing troubles and defiling (corrupting) many.

PRAY TO STOP THE PROPAGATION OF BITTERNESS

My Father, I thank you and I believe that I am bitterness-free today in Jesus name.

I therefore pray and ask you to keep me away and disconnect me from any known or unknown source of bitterness in Jesus name.

I also pray that you keep me from being bitterness-spreader. Use me as a vessel of honor into your hands for the glory of your name in Jesus name!

4th lesson: Bitterness and grace are mutually exclusive.

They cannot coexist at the same time. When bitterness increases, grace decreases. When grace increases, bitterness decreases. When bitterness steps in, grace steps out. When grace steps in, bitterness steps out

PRAY TO EMBRACE AND GROW IN GRACE

My Father, I reject bitterness and I embrace your grace in my heart, in my mind, in my spirit, in my emotion, in my intellect, in my body, in my soul and every area of my life.

Father, cause your grace to abound, to overflow, to run out in Jesus Name!

Shower me with your grace in Jesus Name! Baptize me with your grace in Jesus Name!

GIVE WAY TO GRACE AND BITTERNESS WILL GIVE UP ...

WELCOME GRACE AND BITTERNESS WILL EXIT ...

INCREASE IN GRACE AND BITTERNESS WILL DECREASE

Amen ! Amen ! Amen ! Amen ! Amen ! Amen !

PROPHETIC INTERCESSORY PRAYER 03.11.2016 "3 KEYS TO DEAL WITH DESTRUCTIVE ANGER"

Cain’s story teaches us 3 effective ways we can deal with destructive anger.

     1.   LOCATE THE CAUSE

Genesis 4:6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
Whenever you are angry, don’t deny your anger but be honest with yourself and ask yourself a question,
“why am I angry?”

PRAYER 1

My Father and Lord, I come before you and pray together with the psalmist : examine my heart, prove my heart, search my heart, know my heart, try my heart and expose everything hidden in me causing this anger.

Psalms 26:2 Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.

Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

Jeremiah 17:10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

     2.   TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
Genesis 4:7 If you do well, won’t you be accepted? But if you don’t do well, sin is lying outside your door ready to attack. It wants to control you, but you must master it."

When you are angry, don’t look for someone to blame, to stone, to hurt or to kill. Keep in mind those 3 truths:

Truth 1 No one makes you angry

Truth 2 It is you who are angry

Truth 3 Anger is in you

Therefore, instead of accusing others, take full responsibility, and ask yourself those 4 questions:

Question 1 :  is there something I was supposed to do but I didn't?

Question 2 : is there something I was supposed to do but I didn't do it in the right way?

Question 3 : is there something I do while I should not do?

Question 4 : what does the Lord want me to do?

PRAYER 2

My Father and my Lord, you are my helper. Forgive me for blaming and accusing others instead of taking full responsibility of my actions. Forgive me for behaving like Cain who ignored your advice and preferred to do things his own way.

Father, I come before you and pray that you will help me to overcome anger and do your will and only your will.

     3.   CLOSE THE DOOR
Genesis 4:7 “… sin is lying outside your door ready to attack. It wants to control you, but you must master it."

When you are angry, you don’t sin as long as you control it. But when anger controls you, you sin because uncontrolled anger opens doors to Satan and his demons.
Ephesians 4:26-27 ... Don't give the devil any opportunity to work ...
Proverbs 25:28 Like a city broken into and left without a wall, so is a person who lacks self-control.

PRAYER 3

My Father and my Lord, help me to have more self-control. I pray you rebuild in me by your power any wall broken down because of lack of self control.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I close the door to the devil and his demons.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray that you will train me like an athlete to be strong and determined.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray that you will help me to exercise muscles of forgiveness, patience and peacemaking. Help me also to be freed from past hurts and confusions so that I can run free.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST! ! !

THE POWER OF SELF CONTROL

by T.d. KASUKU

INTRODUCTION

The Greek word translated “self-control,” egkrateia, is derived from two  other Greek words— en and kratos . En means “in” and kratos means “strength” or “power.” From kratos we get such English words as “democracy” (power or rule by the people) and “theocracy” (government by God).

From these Greek roots we see that egkrateia essentially means power or strength within. But whose power?
