KEY STATEMENT
THE SYRIANS WHO HAVE PUT YOUR LIFE, YOUR HEALTH, YOUR FINANCES, YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR EMOTIONS, YOUR FEELINGS UNDER SIEGE, UNDER STRESS, UNDER DEPRESSION, ARE JUST WAITING FOR YOU TO ARISE SO THAT THEY CAN FLEE ...
UNTIL YOU ARISE, THAT SIEGE WILL CONTINUE .... ARISE AND PRAY ! ARISE AND FAST !, ARISE AND GO TO CHURCH! ARISE AND READ YOUR BIBLE!, ARISE AND FORGIVE! ARISE AND MOVE ON! ARISE AND GET A JOB ! ARISE!! ARISE !!! ARISE !!!
- It is only when the lepers arose in 2 Kings 7:5 that the syrians fled in 2 Kings 7:6
- It is only when the prodigal son arose in Luke 15:20 that the Father ran to him
WHAT IS THE SIEGE?
Siege
comes from the Latin word meaning TO SIT.
The siege is
the camping of an enemy outside a city with walls to force it to
give in.
The siege is also When the
enemy's army camps round a city. The soldiers may stay there for a long time
before they attack the city. They do not allow anyone to enter or leave the
city. So the people in the city may be unable to find food, fuel and water. The
aim is to make them very weak before the soldiers attack.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A SIEGE?
- You are surrounded
- You are isolated
- You are desolated
- You are cut off of supply
- You are weakened
- You are forced to give up in exchange of relief
WHAT DOES IT MEAN PRACTICALLY?
It
means practically that just as the ancient army sought to cut off their enemy
from food, water, and contact with allies who could aid them, likewise Satan
seeks to cut off the believer from the life-giving Word of God- the Bible, from
fellowship with other believers, and from prayer.
If you find yourself drifting
away from consistent contact with other Christians - watch out!
If
your devotion to prayer is waning, and your consistent study of the Word is
lacking - be careful! You are in the first stages of being besieged.
What
will happen next? Satan will weaken you in every area of your life.
§ Heaven becomes brass and earth becomes iron for you (Deuteronomy 28:23)
§ You become so defeated that you are no longer able to
resist against the temptations and assaults of the devil. (Deuteronomy 28:25)
§ The devil puts your health under siege with chronic
diseases (Deuteronomy 28:27)
§ The devil puts your emotions and feelings under siege:
always crushed down, depressed, miserable, unhappy, wounded, fearful, lack of
confidence, full of tears … (Deuteronomy 28:33.66)
§ You become victim of fruitless efforts: serial failures, (Deuteronomy 28:38)
§ The devil puts your posterity and your finances under
siege. In the Bible we see women eating their children because of the siege. (Deuteronomy 28:33.48)
§ You live in straightness, in limitation, in
stagnation, in restriction, you have nothing to show in life, … (Deuteronomy 28:53)
HOW DO I BREAK THE SIEGE?
1) ARISE AND BELIEVE THAT IN CHRIST, YOU ARE TOO STRONGLY
SURROUNDED TO BE BESIEGED
In
2 Kings 6, the Bible gives us the story
of the King of Syria who came to besiege the city where was the prophet Elisha.
In
verse 24, we read this “So
the king sent horses and chariots and a large fighting unit there. They came at
night and surrounded the city.”
When
the servant of the prophet saw troops, horses, and chariots surrounding the
city, he panicked and asked, "Master, what should we do?"
Confidently,
the man of God told him, “Don’t be afraid. We have more forces on our
side than they have on theirs" (2 Kings 6:16)
A WORD FOR YOU: The
devil and his demons may surround you but FEAR NOT; keep your head up high
because you are too strongly and mightily surrounded to be besieged.
Psalms 27:6
Now my head will be raised above my enemies who surround me. I will offer
sacrifices with shouts of joy in his tent. I will sing and make music to praise
the LORD.
2) ARISE AND BELIEVE THAT IN CHRIST, YOU HAVE THE
POWER TO STRIKE WITH BLINDNESS THE EVIL POWERS OF DARKNESS SO THAT THEY WILL
NEVER BE ABLE TO LOCATE YOU.
In
2 Kings 6:18, the prophet Elisha
prayed the Lord to blind the Syrians who came to besiege him. We read this:
And
when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this
people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according
to the word of Elisha.
In
Acts 13:11, the apostle Paul stroke
with blindness a wicked man who was interfering with the advancement of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. We read this:
And
now, behold, the hand of the Lord [is] upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not
seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a
darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
A WORD FOR YOU: ANY
EVIL POWER MONITORING YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SEE YOU AND TO TRACK YOU AGAIN
IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
3) BY FAITH, ARISE, POSITION YOURSELF PROPERLY UNDER THE PROPHETIC
COVERING AND TAKE APPROPRIATE PROPHETIC STEPS TO BREAK THE SIEGE.
According
to Scriptures, the prophet is the divine agent appointed to break the power of any
satanic siege against people’s life.
As
the siege grew violent and worst in the city, the prophet Elisha broke it by releasing
one prophetic Word:
“Thus
saith the LORD, Tomorrow about this time [shall] a measure of fine flour [be
sold] for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of
Samaria.” (2 Kings 7:1)
1st
prophetic step: Never challenge or doubt the prophetic word otherwise you will
end up a victim of it
The
servant of the king who failed to position properly by faith to the prophetic
word challenged it saying, "Could this happen even if the LORD poured rain
through windows in the sky?" (2
Kings 7:2)
Immediately,
the prophetic word he challenged was turned against him into a word of judgment
because the prophet Elisha replied,
"You
will see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it." (2 Kings 7:3)
2nd
prophetic step: Until you know the ‘why’ of life you cannot make
progress. One of the “whys” you must find solution to is ‘why am I where I am?’
God
used the four lepers at the gate to break the siege of the enemy over the city.
Though they were not present when the prophetic word was released, they positioned
themselves properly by taking appropriate prophetic steps.
In
2 Kings 7:3, they asked themselves a
question, "Why are we sitting here waiting to die?”
You
are not going to see much solution in life until you are a friend of ‘why’! Why
is a motivational three letter word. So don’t throw away the whys of your life,
stir them up until you find solution to your life.
Why
do I seem not to be making progress?
Why
am I poor? Why are things tight for me?
Why
am I always in trouble? Why can’t I achieve like my colleagues who are
genuinely doing well not thieves and corrupters?
Why
is the ministry not moving forward?
Why
is my marriage what it is?
If
you are separated or divorced, why am I separated or divorced?
Why
am I not making progress in my academics?
Why
is my business stagnating or stagnated?
Why
am I not married? Why am I not pregnant? Why is my wife not pregnant? Why can’t
I keep my job? Why do I have sleepless nights? Why can’t I push my ideas
through?
Why
is the nation in famine?
Why
this, why that? Why can’t we change our destiny? Why can’t we take a bold step
of faith, of adventure to success?
Why
am I living in the fear of the unknown?
3rd
prophetic step: As far as your eyes can see so will you get from the
Lord. Before you change your situation, change your perspective of it.
Before then, the four lepers were hopeless,
desperate and lightless. All of a sudden, a glimpse of hope arises in their
heart.
They are no longer fatalist and pessimist. They start weighing options that
would change their lives for the better. They say in verse
4,
‘If
we remain we die, if we go back we shall die, if we advance we have a slim
chance of surviving!’
4th
prophetic step: Do in the natural what you can do and God will do the supernatural you cannot do.
In
verse 5, the Bible says that the four lepers ‘AROSE” to go unto the camp of the Syrians. In verse 7, the Syrians fled.
As
they were moving, the Lord broke the siege of the Syrians by supernaturally turning
the footsteps of the lepers into a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses,
[even] the noise of a great host causing the Syrians to flee.
- Moses stretched the rod in the natural. God parted the red sea supernaturally.
- The lepers walked in the natural. God turned their footsteps in a noise of horses supernaturally.
- Peter threw the net in the natural. God filled it with fish supernaturally.
- The people had to roll away the stone so that Jesus could bring back Lazarus to life.
- God provided the manna but the people had to go out to collect it.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS
Today, God is commanding you to arise to
possess your God ordained possession. In the Name of Jesus Christ,
no one will take it away from you because it is for you. ARISE TODAY AND TAKE
IT !
DECLARE IT AND
PRAY----------------------------------
Today is the day God wants you to arise
from murmuring and complaining to worship Him. He wants you to allow him
to fill your mouth with songs of worship. He wants you to offer unto Him
sweet sacrifices and build altar that honors him.
DECLARE IT AND
PRAY----------------------------------
Today, as you arise from that statu quo
and take the step of faith, I see your enemies who hold back illegally
your wealth releasing it back to you in the Name of Jesus Christ!
DECLARE IT AND
PRAY----------------------------------
SO SHALL IT BE!
