𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟬𝟵-𝟭𝟬-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — 𝗟𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱

🔵 𝙋𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢 64:2-3 𝙀𝙎𝙑 — 𝙃𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙, 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙧𝙨, [3] 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨,

🔵 Imagine this at work: some colleagues smile at you in the hallway, but behind your back they start a private group chat. They say cruel things about you and try to get you fired. That’s the kind of thing this Psalm is about—hidden attacks, gossip, and secret plots.

🔵 In Psalm 64, David faced enemies who did not fight openly. They whispered. They sharpened their words like swords and shot them like arrows in secret. David did not panic, and he did not answer gossip with more gossip. He asked God to hide him and protect him.

🔵 𝙋𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢 64:2-3 𝙀𝙎𝙑 — 𝙃𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙢𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙙, 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙧𝙨, [3] 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨, 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙖𝙞𝙢 𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨,

🔵 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙬 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 “𝙨𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙” 𝙞𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙫 (חֶרֶב), 𝙖𝙣𝙙 “𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨” 𝙞𝙨 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙩𝙨 (חֵץ).

🔵 Words are not harmless. Malicious gossip, slander, and secret plotting can do real damage. The wicked meet in secret, sharpening their tongues to wound where no one else can see. They may think that because they whisper, they are hidden. But God hears every word.

🔵 You may have worn yourself out trying to figure out who is talking about you, trying to defend your name in group chats, or trying to out-scheme people who are scheming against you.

🔵 God is saying, “Step back. Let Me be the Archer. They sharpened their tongues? I will sharpen My judgment. They aimed at you in the dark? I will strike them suddenly in the light. Their own words will become the trap that catches them!”

🔵 Your job is not to get revenge. Your job is to hide in God, trust His timing, and watch Him turn their weapons into their own downfall.

🔵 When people whisper and plot behind your back, do not panic and do not repay evil. Hide in God. He will bring what is secret into the light, defend your name, and make their own words fall back on them. Stay safe in Him and watch God work.
