KINGDOM BIBLE STUDY | UNDERSTANDING THE SUPERNATURAL PART 4
Father, thank you for today. Thank you for the grace you have given unto us to see this day.
We bless your name oh Lord. We worship you. We pray that you will minister to us oh God in a mighty way. We pray that oh God by your word you will turn our lives around, you will change us, move us forward.
Father, we thank you and we bless your holy name in the name above any other name. The name of Jesus Christ. The Son of the Living God we have prayed.
Open our understanding for us to understand the Word.
Holy Spirit, take charge of this session. And glory be to God in Jesus name. Amen.
CHAPTER 1 | WHAT ARE STRANGE ACTS OF GOD?
And today, I want to talk about strange acts of God. Where do we find it?
We find it in Isaiah 28:21, “The Lord shall rise up as in Mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the days of valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work and bring to pass his act, his strange act”.
We find it also in Luke 5:26, “They were all amazed and they glorified God and were filled with fear saying we have seen strange things today.”
When we talk about strange, it is simply unusual. Abnormal. Extraordinary. Out of this world. Foreign to us. Foreign to our habit. Foreign to what we have ever known. Foreign to what we have ever experienced.
That is the of the strange act of God.
We have again 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
I pray for somebody today in this particular season, you are entering in the realm of strange things in the name of Jesus Christ.
Somebody listening to me today, there is something that God will do in your life. That eyes have not seen. Something that ears have not heard. Something that nobody has ever thought about that is the God we serve.
CHAPTER 2 | NOT EVERYTHING STRANGE IS OF GOD
There is an emphasis that I want to point out today because the Bible talks about strange act of God. And I believe it is purposefully that the Bible adds of God.
Of God means that there are also strange act of the devil.
I pray that you will have an understanding of it.
Let us go to Matthew 24:24, “There shall arise false Christs and false prophets and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect”.
You see ? False prophets and false Christ will show great signs and wonders. Those are fake miracles. They are strange, but fake. Why? Because of the source of it. Because the devil produces also strange
So, when we talk about the acts of God, it means the acts performed by God. The acts which have their source in God.
So, the difference is … is it of God or not?
Let us read 2 Thessalonians 2:8, “Then, shall the wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming, even him whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders…”.
You see? The the the the Bible makes it very clear that there are strange act which are not of God. The Bible talks about false wonders, delusive miracles, lying wonders, false wonders.
Let us read again Exodus 7:22. The bible says, “And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said.”
Exodus 7:11, “Pharaoh called all the wise men and the sorcerers now the magicians of Egypt. They also did in like manner with their enchantment.”
Exodus 7:10, “Moses and Aaron went unto Pharaoh and they did so as as the Lord had commanded. And Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants and it became a serpent”.
I underline verse ten as the Lord had commanded.
So, it is the Lord who commands the strange act. Strange acts are commanded by God.
So you see? Just because something is strange, unusual, out of this world, what eyes have not seen, ears heard or miraculous, does not mean that it is from God.
In fact, when we talk about the strange acts of God, actually we talk about miracles. There are miracles which are not of God.
But watch what happened in Pharaoh's heart.
The Bible says that his heart was hardened.
l False miracles strengthen pride.
l False miracles strengthen rebellious spirit or rebellion.
l False miracles strengthen unbelief.
That is why when fake things happen, such people will not feel like praying. That is the danger.
But there is a “but”. The “but” is in Exodus 8:17.
There, the Bible says that “Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod and smote dust of the earth and it became lice in man and in beast and the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt. And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lies. But they could not so there were lies upon men and upon beasts”.
In Verse 19, “the magicians said unto Pharaoh this is the finger of God. And Pharaoh's heart was hardened and he hearkened not unto them as the Lord said.
So you have understood that when we talk about the strange acts of God, we talk about what is unusual. We talk about what is abnormal but not everything that is strange is of God.
CHAPTER 3 | THE 4 CHARACTERISTICS OF THE STRANGE ACTS OF GOD.
What makes the difference in the strange acts of God is the ways of God.
The strange acts of God are connected/related to the strange ways of God. Now when we talk about strange ways understand it's about the methods of God. It talks about the hows.
So, the acts of God have four characteristics.
CHARACTERISTIC 1 | THE STRANGE ACT OF GOD UNSEARCHABLE
Romans 11:33, “O the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God. How unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past finding out”
Amplified version says … unfathomable and untraceable, untraceable, mysterious, undiscoverable, no one can understand and no one can explain the strange acts of God.
ESV … It is inscrutable. ES version. The strange of God.
MSG … Its ways are over our head. We will never figure it out.
Yes. We can't figure out the strange acts of God. They are Unsearchable.
That is the first thing I want you to take note of concerning the strange acts of God.
CHARACTERISTIC 2 | THE STRANGE ACTS OF GOD ARE DIFFERENTE FROM MEN.
The other thing to take note of concerning the strange act of God they are different from the act of men. (Isaiah 55:8)
I want somebody to know this morning that God is not a man. God has unlimited capacities. He is able to do what no man can do. He is not limited by what limits men. He is not stopped by what stops men. He is not impressed by what impresses men.
He is God. I want you to know he is God.
Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man that he should lie.”
The Good Word Version says, “See, God is not like people. He tells no lies. He is not like humans. He doesn't change his mind. He does not lie.”
He does not change his mind. He says what he does. He does what he say. He is God. He is God. That is something I want you to write it down when we talk about the strange act of God.
CHARACTERISTIC 3 | THE STRANGE ACTS OF OGOD ARE HIGHER THAN THE THOUGHTS OF MEN.
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
They are what I call “I never thought” kind of act.
CHARACTERISTIC 4 | THE STRANGE ACTS OF GOD REVEAL THE VERY NATURE OF GOD.
The strange acts of God reveal who God is. They reveal His greatness, his power.
CHAPTER 4 | THE GOD OF STRANGE ACTS
Let's talk to you about some strange act of God.
1- GOD OF INSTANT ACTS
God is the God of instantly and immediately.
I want to let you know that God can do instantly and immediately something strange in your life.
Mark 1:30 … : Immediately the fever left Peter's mother-in-law and got healed
Mark 1:42 … “Immediately, the leprosy departed from him and he was cleansed.
Mark 2:12 … “Immediately, the paralytic arose”
Mark 5:13 … “Immediately Jesus gave them leave and the unclean spirits went out…
Mark 10:52 … “Bartimaeus received his sight immediately…
Luke 8:47 … “that woman with 12 years issue of blood was healed immediately…
Luke 13:13 … Immediately, that woman who suffered for 18 years was made straight and she glorified God
John 5:9 … “The man who suffered for 38 years got healed immediately…”
He can also do it for you instantly. God is touching somebody instantly. God is blessing somebody instantly. He can do something for you instantly.
2- GOD OF TWENTY-FOUR HOURS MIRACLES.
In the midst of economic breakdown, the the man of God said, “Hear the Word of the Lord, Tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flower be for a shekel at the gate of Samaria”.
Friend, God is the God of 24 hours miracle. Anything can happen in 24 hours.
Moses was stuck in the in the backside of the desert and 24 hours were enough and he was already in the palace confronting Pharaoh.
David was tending sheep and in 24 hours, God connected him to the king.
God can change your situation any time He can do it now. He can do it in 24 hours.
3- GOD OF ONE HOUR MIRACLE
The Bible talks about the same same hour.
Luke 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.
John 4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
CHAPTER 5 | CAUTION
God is God.
I want to warn somebody this morning. Beware of unbelief. Beware of doubt. Don't limit God. You will attract God's wrath.
After the man of God prophesied about the twenty-four hour miracle, a certain man challenged him and paid for it. He fell under judgement and in 24 hours, he died.
I pray for you to be free from unbelief. Believe now. Believe that he can do it. And He will do it.
CHAPTER 6 | CLOSING PRAYERS
Start praying now.
l I want to announce to you God will surprise you.
l Go before the Lord and say Lord I am ready.
l Pray for your mind first.
l Lord, in the name of Jesus I come before you and I pray oh Lord set my mind free.
l Let my mind accept that it is possible. Let my heart accept that it is possible. Let my mouth confess that it is possible.
l Lord God Almighty in the name of Jesus I command my mind to be free to accept that it is possible. I command my heart to accept that it is possible. I command my mouth to confess that it is possible. In the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ.
l In the name of Jesus Christ. I want you to go before the Lord.
l Look at that situation that is troubling you. Look at that situation that is causing you nightmare. Look at that situation that is taking away your peace. You tell that situation … this morning you might be hard or difficult for me but you are not difficult or hard for my God. You might be hard or difficult for men but you are not difficult or hard for my God.
l You might be hard or for doctors but you are not difficult or hard for my God. You might be difficult for lawyers but you are not difficult for my God. You might be hard for pastors you are not difficult for my God. You might be difficult for bankers but you are not difficult for my God.
l Declare that today in the name of Jesus Christ.
l Jeremiah chapter thirty-two twenty-seven I am the Lord God of all humanity nothing too hard for me. Hallelujah.
l Genesis 18:14 Nothing is hard for our God. Next year Sarah will have a son.
l Lord, I believe in your Word.
l Believe that there is a strange act of God. For your situation for your problem.
l Declare this morning what God will do for me will shock the world. What God will do for me no eyes have seen, no ears have heard.
l No one has ever thought about it that will be my experience in this season.
l I want to pray for you this morning … Whatever case you have, I pray that the strange act of God will happen to you instantly
l If you believe in an instant miracle, receive it in the name of Jesus
l If you want if you in instant touch from God, believe in it in the name of Jesus Christ and let it be so for you.
l Instantly somebody will get healed now.
l Believe and receive. Believe and receive. Believe and receive. God is touching your eyes. He's touching your ears. He's touching the part of your body that is affected and damaged by the enemy. Let it be so for you. In the name of Jesus Christ.
l You want an intervention from God for any case? Nothing is impossible with God. Let it be done for you today in the name of Jesus Christ the son of the living God.
l Believe and receive and it shall be so for you in the name of Jesus Christ the son of the living God.
CLOSING WORDS
Perfect. May God bless you. May God do you good. You will have a testimony to tell.
