KINGDOM BIBLE STUDY | PROVOKING THE SUPERNATURAL PART 3 | WEDNESDAY 26TH JULY 2023

KINGDOM BIBLE STUDY | PROVOKING THE SUPERNATURAL PART 3 | WEDNESDAY 26TH JULY 2023

● After God spoke to Elijah of the sending of the rain, Elijah went up to  Mount Carmel to fill the cloud/to provoke the supernatural.

Read 1 Kings 18:43 - 45

KEY 1 | PERSISTENCE

● There was no sign of rain at all

1Ki 18:43  And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said,  There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.

● I want to draw your attention on the declaration of the servant, “There is nothing.”

Watch this,…

● There was something in the spiritual realm. There was something because Elijah heard something. But in the physical sight there was nothing. No sign of rain anywhere.

Hear me and hear me very well,…

● Just because you see nothing does not mean there is nothing.

● The servant did not say the right thing. I disagree totally with him. I wish he could have said,  “I see nothing”  instead of saying  “There is nothing.”  Those are two different things.

● Don’t say there is nothing when you see nothing. Not everything is accessible to your eyes.

● Word of Life,  THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM.

●  God can never call us in vain.

● As long as the servant didn’t see anything, Elijah told him,  “Go again” seven times

1Ki 18:43   And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said,  There is nothing.  And he said,  Go again seven times.

I am here to tell you, “GO AGAIN”

- Have you prayed and you saw nothing? Go again.

- Have you prayed and it seemed there is nothing? Go again.

- Have you prayed and it looks like God is quiet? Go again.

- Have you prayed and it looks like the answer is delaying? Go again.

● I like Elijah.

●  The reason is because Elijah was a man who was not just praying, but a man who was provoking the SUPERNATURAL.

● Elijah prayed and prayed again until the clouds were full and it rained.

1Ki 18:44   And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.

1Ki 18:45   And it came to pass in the mean while, that  the heaven was black with clouds  and wind, and  there was a great rain.  And Ahab rode, and went to Jezreel.

●  Tap into the anointing of Elijah and receive the same kind of anointing in the Name of Jesus Christ…

- Pray Until there is change in the physical.

- Pray Until you see something in the physical.

- Pray Until you see the heavens becoming black.

- Pray Until you see the effect of your prayer.

●  In this season, I made up my mind. I am not stopping. I am praying and fasting until I see the cloud full. Until it rains.

● After hearing from God, Elijah went to Mount Carmel to pray while Ahab went up to play.

1Ki 18:42   So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And   Elijah went up to the top of Carmel;  and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,

Act 1:14   These  all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication,  with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

●  AND I KNOW ... IT WILL RAIN

KEY 2 | PRAYER WITH THE RHEMA WORD

ILLUSTRATION 2 THE DISCIPLES AT THE UPPER ROOM

Let’s look at the disciples in  Acts 1:4, 14, 2:1

● After Jesus spoke to the disciples of the sending of the Holy Spirit, they went up to  the Upper Room to fill the cloud.

● The disciples prayed in one accord until the rain of the Holy Spirit fell.

Act 1:4  And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Act 1:14  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Act 2:1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

1Ki 18:1   And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the LORD came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and  I will send rain upon the earth.

Act 1:4   And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but  wait for the promise  of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

●  LESSON | For you to fill the cloud, you need the Word or promise from God.

You fill the cloud with the Prophecy or what God told you.

1Ki 18:41   And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for  there is a sound of abundance of rain.

Act 1:4   … Father, which, saith he,  ye have heard of me.

●  There is a difference between the Word of God and the Voice of God.

●  The Word of God is the Logos. The Voice of God is  Rhema.

●  The Logos is general. The Rhema is personal.

●  The Word of God is what God says. The Voice of God is what you hear from what God says to you.

- Align yourself with what is written of your life in the volume of the book ( Eph 6:17-19)

• The best way to ask is to ask with the Word.

• God hears when we pray according to His Word ( 1 John 5:14/ Heb 10:7)

There's a difference between "It is written" and "It is written of me":

• One thing is to know "it is written in the Bible", another thing is to know what is written of me.

• "What is written" is general. "What is written of me" is personal.

• What is written in the book will never change your life until you make it personal.

● Pray and claim that the promise written in the word is for you.

1 Kings 18:1 KJV

And it came to pass after many days, that the word of the Lord came to Elijah in the third year, saying, Go, shew thyself unto Ahab; and I will send rain upon the earth.

1 Kings 18:41

●●●  There is a sound of abundance of rain  ●●●

●  All the disciples of Jesus heard the Word but only Peter caught the Voice.

●●● When you have caught the voice,

1- You will know it in your spirit. That's what we call the testimony of the Spirit in our spirit ... Romans 8:16.

2-  The Voice always comes loaded with a supernatural boldness, conviction, confidence, courage, calmness, peace,

● I know there are things I have heard. I am waiting for what I have heard to come to pass.

● Wait to see what you have heard. Wait to convert what you have heard to testimony.

EFFECTS OF THE ABOVE

● 1st effect : Sudden visitation

●  As you wait upon the Lord, I anounce to you that your visitation will be sudden. The rain will be sudden. The answer will be sudden

Act 2:2  And  suddenly  there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

●  2nd Effect : Cloven tongues on everyone

● As you wait upon the Lord, I announce to those who are in one accord, in the same place waiting for the Lord, each one will receive his portion.

Act 2:3   And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

● God is not the God who visits only one. He visits all.

Act 2:4  And  they were all filled with the Holy Ghost,  and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

●  3rd effect : Uncommon addition

●  After the rain fell, 3000 souls were added to the Church supernaturally.

● God is the God of uncommon addition, uncommon multiplication, uncommon change of level.

Act 2:41   Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day  there were added  unto them about three thousand souls.

CONCLUSION

● My friend, wait.  WAITING IS NOT WASTING.  Wait until the rain falls. Wait. Ngoja. God never lies. Wait.

● I don’t know who I am talking to, but I feel I should tell somebody today, WAIT!! And you will not be disappointed.

PRAYER SESSION

Lift your voice and tell God,

I receive the grace to wait. Waiting is not wasting. Elijah waited. I will pray until I see. I will fast until I see. I am not praying in vain. I will wait.

● Receive the grace to wait. Receive the same spirit of Elijah. He was not intimidated by the report. Be not intimidated by the report, by what you see.  WAIT & PRAY!!

● Elijah said I know what I have heard, GO AGAIN!!

● GO AGAIN! PRAY AGAIN! SERVE AGAIN! GIVE AGAIN! Until the rain falls.

● Wait with the right people. Pray continually. And … It will be sudden. I am telling you it will be sudden, Wait.

● If you know you have heard from God, it will be sudden and each one who waited, will have his portion. MARK MY WORDS TODAY! IT SHALL BE AS GOD SAID.

In Jesus Name, Amen.
