PROPHECTIC WARNING | THURSDAY 27TH APRIL 2023
● Jesus' death was a shock to the disciples. They were devastated. It looks like a thunder. It looks like an earthquake. They knew that Jesus was so strong/powerful that such a thing can never happen to him.
● It was such a shame. I just imagine how people around were mocking them.
● Their faith got such a shock that the disciples of Emmaus decided to leave Jerusalem and go back to their hometown.
● Peter decided to return to his previous fish business.
● The other ones were leaving in closed doors dominated by fear.
● The atmosphere was so messy, discouragement loaded and hopeless charged that Jesus had to appear to them both individually and collectively for the sake of fixing their shattered/broken/shallow/ faith.
● But the amazing thing about the whole thing is that those people were prepared a while ago.
● In fact, Jesus prophesied and prepared them. But ...
CHAPTER 1 | FACTS ABOUT THE POWER OF PRAYER
● LUKE 22:31-32 And the Lord said, SIMON, SIMON, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
[32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
FACT 1 | PRAYER DEFEATS THE PLANS OF THE ENEMY
● Satan hath desired ... But I have prayed ...
● PRAYER IS A POWERFUL WEAPON IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE MEANT TO DEFEAT THE PLAN OF THE ENEMY
● LESSON ... : Satan is a real personality not a myth. Satan speaks. Satan has desires. Satan requests.
Satan hath desired...
FACT 2 | SPIRITUAL WARFARE IS REAL WHETHER YOU ARE AWARE OR NOT
● Defined as an ongoing invisible war between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Satan.
● EPHESIANS 6:12 KJV For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
2 CORINTHIANS 10:4 KJV (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
● Peter never knew what was going on in the invisible realm until Jesus told him that he prayed for his faith to not fail.
● Samson never knew what was plotted against him
● Daniel never knew the Prince of Persia was resisting his prayer until the angel told him
FACT 3 | God can grant Satan's requests
● Case 1 | God granted Satan permission to strike Job. Why? Job's fear.
● Case 2 | Peter. Why? Confidence in his flesh.
● Php 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
● Luk 22:33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.
FACT 4 | PRAYER IS A POWERFUL COVER FROM THE ASSAULTS OF THE ENEMY
● Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:
LESSON 1 ... : Satan knows who to target. He targetted Peter because Peter carried most openly prophecies.
● Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
● Matthew 16:19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
LESSON 2 ... : Satan entered Judas but could not enter Peter. Rather, he requested to sift him. Why?
● Luke 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
● Peter was under the covering of the Lord. Juda shifted out of the covering because of taking offence.
LESSON 3 ... : Jesus is our intercessor and advocate. Meaning our defender.
Note : When you take offence, you break down your defence.
LESSON 4 ... : God unveils (reveals) the secret intentions of the enemy against his people
● Amos 3:7 : Surely the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the prophets.
FACT 3 | PRAYER IS A POWERFUL TOOL TO KEEP AND PROTECT THE FAITH
● Luke 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:
LESSON 1 ... : Satan knows what to target. And the primarily target is the faith.
LESSON 2 ... : Jesus didn't pray against/cancel the plan of the enemy. He prayed for Peter's faith to not fail when he will go through test.
LESSON 3 ... : Jesus affirms the power of prayer and the potency of faith
LESSON 3 ... : Satan can challenge us but never defeats us.
LESSON 4 ... : Faith can fail meaning stops working
CHAPTER 2 | WHY PRAYING FOR FAITH?/WHAT IS THE POTENCY OF FAITH?
1- To be shielded = protected, covered, safe,...
● Faith shields you : You are uncovered and exposed to the fiery arrows of the devil
● EPHESIANS 6:16 KJV Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
2- To be lifted above the storms of life = adversities, opposition, persecution,
● Faith lifts you above the storms of life : You cannot stand the storms of life without faith
● MATTHEW 14:30-31 KJV But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
[31] And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
3- To be restful = stress free, perfectly peaceful
● Faith generates peace : You cannot live a life of peace
● ISAIAH 26:3 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee : because he trusteth in thee.
4- To resist the devil = to exercise authority, dominion, superiority over the devil
● Faith empowers to resist the devil : You cannot resist the devil without faith
● 1 PETER 5:9 KJV Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
5- To operate in the supernatural = to dominate, be above the natural
● Faith is the gateway to the supernatural : You cannot experience the supernatural without faith
● MARK 6:5-6 KJV And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
[6] And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.
6- To please God = to make God happy, proud of us and cause God to favour us
● Faith matters to God ... You cannot please God
● HEBREWS 11:6 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7- To move mountains = to deal with the obstacles and barriers of Life
● Faith moves mountains : without faith mountains cannot move
● Jesus says, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed ... and believe ...he shall have whatsoever he saith." ( MARK 11:23 )
PRAYERS
1- I TAKE THE SHIELD OF FAITH TO QUENCH THE ARROWS OF THE DEVIL IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
● EPHESIANS 6:16 KJV Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
2- BY FAITH I RISE ABOVE ADVERSITIES, OPPOSITION, PERSECUTION AND THE STORMS IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !

3- BY FAITH, I RECEIVE MY PEACE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !

4- I TAKE AUTHORITY, DOMINION, SUPERIORITY OVER THE DEVIL IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
● 1 PETER 5:9 KJV Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
5- I RELEASE THE SUPERNATURAL IN MY LIFE BY MY FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !

6- THANK YOU LORD FOR THE FAITH THAT MAKES ME PLEASING YOU

7- BY FAITH, I COMMAND THE MOUNTAINS TO MOVE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
● Jesus says, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed ... and believe ...he shall have whatsoever he saith." ( MARK 11:23 )
