MIDNIGHT PRAISE | THE LIVING GOD | TUESDAY 04-04-2023
Turning my Bible in Job 19:25, we read this ...
● For I know [that] my redeemer liveth, and [that] he shall stand at the latter [day] upon the earth:
● Job made this confession in the midst of pain and the furnace of trial. The obscurity of his situation never made him doubt the reality of a living God . He never said, if God is alive, why am I going through this?
● I don't know what you go through but be encouraged. God is the living God.
● He is not like idols who have eyes but can't see, ears but can't hear and mouth but can't talk.
● Psalms 135:15 The idols of the nations are made of silver and gold. They were made by human hands.
● Psalms 135:16 They have mouths, but they cannot speak. They have eyes, but they cannot see.
● Psalms 135:17 They have ears, but they cannot hear. They cannot breathe.
God is the living God means what ?
● He sees. He hears. He touches. He speaks. He feels. He never sleeps nor slumbers.
● 2 Kings 14:26 : The LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter ...
● In Exodus 3:7, the LORD said to Moses concerning his people in Egypt, " I have surely seen the affliction of my people which [are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows".
● From this text, we learn the following ...
1- God has eyes : Men may ignore you. But God sees you where nobody else can. He sees your secret tears.
2- God has ears : He made ears. He also hears. He is the prayer hearing and answering God
3- God has mouth : God spoke to our fathers and still speaks.
4- God has a heart : He feels what you feel. He is called compassionate.
5- God has feet and hands : He walked with our fathers. He touched the sick and healed them. He is still the same today!
