 *MEDITATION WEDNESDAY 08-03-2023 | THE LORD OF HOSTS SHALL DEFEND ME...*

*READING : LUKE 23*

*Zechariah 9:15* ... "The Lord of hosts shall defend them..."

*Lesson 1* | Jesus was accused, mocked by his enemies. Yet, he never replied back to their accusations. He kept focus on the journey toward the cross and remain silent.

*Luke 23:9* Then he questioned with him in many words; but *he answered him nothing*.

*Luke 23:10* And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

*Lesson 2* | There are always going to be people in your life who misunderstand you and people who don’t like you. There will always be people who criticize you, judge you, attack you, and spread rumors about you. *When enemies accuse or gossip about you falsely, don't waste your time to reply back. Do like Christ : be focused, don't defend yourself and let God defend you himself!*

*1 Peter 2:23 TEV* When Jesus was insulted, “he did not answer back with an insult; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but placed his hopes in God, the righteous Judge”

*Lesson 3* | Three times Pilate confirms that there was no fault in Christ. Yet, Jesus died not because of his sins, but because of your sins and my sins to save us. What a love !!!

*Luke 23:4* Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man.

*Luke 23:14* Said unto them, ... behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him...

*Luke 23:22* And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

*Question*| How do you respond to such a great love? Are you grateful? Do you serve him back? Do you share his love around you?
