*CHAPTER 1 | BE GRATEFUL*

● *What to be grateful for?*

*1 | Be grateful for what you have from God that others don't have...*

*1 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV* For who makes you differ from another? And WHAT DO YOU HAVE THAT YOU DID NOT RECEIVE? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

● Do You have a shelter? Be grateful. Do you have a place to sleep? Be grateful. Do you have money? Be grateful.

*2 | Be grateful for what you can and others can't. The strength comes from God.* 

*Philippians 4:13 NKJV* I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

*3 | Be grateful for what is working in your life*.

The story of Jesus versus Barabbas is a story of ungratefulness of humankind.

It's a story of how the people you have fed can be the same to eat you in return.

The people you have blessed can be the same to curse you in return.

The people you have dressed can be the same to undress you in return.

*4 | Be grateful l for the people who played a positive influence in your life. (Pastor l Priest l Parents, Teachers, Mentors)*

*CHAPTER 2 | THE UNCOMMON REWARDS OF GRATEFULNESS*

● *CASE 1 | Jesus took 5 loaves and 2 fishes and gave thanks*

*John 6:11 KJV* Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

● What happened? They multiplied and fed 5 thousands of men.

● Write it down ... Anything you take, do, eat, drink with gratefulness in your heart will multiply in your hand, feed multitude and generations.

● I pray for someone under the sound of my voice ungratefulness will die in your heart in the name of Jesus Christ.

● *CASE 2* | *Don't ever despise small things.

*Zechariah 4:10 NKJV* For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth."

 

*Job 8:7 KJV* Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

● *CASE 3 | THE MULTIPLICATION EFFECT OF THANKSGIVING*

● Gratefulness is a multiplier of blessings. A multiplier of divine favour. A multiplier of grace. A multiplier of churches. A limitation breaker. 

Small things are the beginning of big things. All big things started small.

● *1- GRATEFULNESS IS A MULTIPLIER*

● Anything you take with gratefulness will end up multiplying.

*Acts 2:47 NKJV* | Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

● Praising God ....... Having favour ........ The Lord added 

● *GRATEFULNESS* IS A Multiplier of blessings

● *GRATEFULNESS* IS A Multiplier of divine favor

● *GRATEFULNESS* IS A Multiplier of grace

● *GRATEFULNESS* IS A Multiplier of churches 

● *GRATEFULNESS* IS A Limitation breaker.

● *2- GRATEFULNESS ATTRACTS FAVOUR*

● In *Acts 2:47*, the first Church was a grateful Church. As a result, they were swimming in divine favour.

● The more grateful you are, the more favored you will be and the more fruitful you will be as well.

● The more grateful you are. The more favoured you will be. The more fruitful you will be.

● Read with me this Wonderful Scripture ...

*Act 2:47* Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. 

● *3- GRATEFULNESS AND MULTIPLE BLESSINGS*

*Jeremiah 30:19 NKJV* Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving And the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

● *From Jeremiah 30:19*, we learn that multiple blessings follow thanksgiving...

1- Gratefulness in the heart is the gateway to joy in the heart. The more grateful you are, the more joyful you will be.

2- When you are grateful, you will be merry and when you are merry, God multiplies.

3- When you are grateful, God will glorify you. Meaning, you cannot be grateful and end up shameful.

4- Gratefulness is a gateway to greatness. You cannot be grateful and end up small. GRATEFUL PEOPLE ARE GREAT PEOPLE.

*CHAPTER 3 | HOW TO BE GRATEFUL? REMEMBER*

● *Genesis 40:23* Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

 

● *Exodus 16:3* And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

 

● *Deuteronomy 32:18* Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.

 

● *Judges 8:35* Neither shewed they kindness to the house of Jerubbaal, namely, Gideon, according to all the goodness which he had shewed unto Israel.

1. *Remember* that someone is praying and fasting for what you currently have. 

Be humble and thank God for what you have

2. *Remember* that the sickness you have been healed from has killed someone somewhere.

Stop murmuring and Give thanks for your health and healing!

3. *Remember* that you are saved, yet someone died unsaved.

Give thanks for your salvation!

4. *Remember* there is someone better than you, you are not the best. ( *1 Sam 15:28, Esther 1:19*)

Give thanks to God for his choice of you!

5. *Remember* that you own nothing, everything you have has been given to you. ( *1 Cor 4:7*)

Give thanks to God for his blessings on you!

6. *Remember* that you are not indispensable. God can appoint someone to replace you. (1 Kings 2:35)
