NO MORE EXCUSES ... DAY 4 ... STOP BLAMING OTHERS

TUESDAY 24 APRIL 2018
STOP BLAMING OTHERS

READINGJohn 5:1-9
Today’s miracle is about a man who was paralytic for 38 years and healed by Jesus in the pool of Bethesda. When Jesus Christ meets him, he starts ministering to him by asking him one question: “DO YOU WANT TO BE HEALED?” (John 5:5).

Instead of answering with a "yes I want" or "no I don't want", here is his answer,

Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up. While I am trying to get into the water, someone else goes down there before me.”  (John 5:7)

When we read carefully what this man is saying, we can see that he is not answering the question but is giving explanations and trying to justify why he has spent all those years at the same place without any positive result.

1st explanation : I can't
2nd explanation : I have no-one to help me
3rd explanation : While I am on the way down some other person gets in before me
A close analysis of those excuses shows that they are all blame-oriented. He is blaming others for not helping him and not giving him any chance to step into the water on time. He is blaming others for being selfish, self-centered and uncaring toward him.
Today many are stuck like this paralytic at the pool of Bethesda.  Why? Because they are so convinced that they are where they are and they are going through what they are going through because no one is helping them, no one is giving them any chance, no one is caring about them, no one is kind to them, no one is giving them attention etc.

My friend, STOP BLAMING OTHERS. THE PROBLEM IS NOT AROUND YOU BUT IN YOU. The question is not "who did not help you?" but "do you want to be healed?"

·                     Jesus is not asking you "are you able to be healed?" but "do you want to be healed?"
·                     Jesus is not asking you “is it possible to get healed” but “do you want to get healed?”.
·                     Jesus is not asking you “tell me the story of what happened” but “do you want to get healed?”
·                     Are you willing to allow God to use you so that through you many can be reached and blessed?
·                     Are you willing to move to the next level of your blessing?
·                     Are you willing to change?
·                     Are you willing to forgive that man/woman who wronged you so that God can heal your soul?

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
