THE CLOSED HEART AND THE OPENED HEART
The state of your heart determines the
state of your heaven. Whenever your heart is shut from God, your heaven is also
shut. Whenever your heart is opened to God, your heaven will also be opened.
The Bible
speaks about a woman called Lydia. In Acts 16:14, we read this
concerning her :
«A certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard [us]:whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul..»
When is a
heart closed? When is a heart open?
1) A closed heart is an ignorant heart, that is, not able to understand spiritual things.
An open heart is a heart that has knowledge of God and things of God.
In Matthew 13:19, the Lord says:

« When any one heareth the word of
the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the
wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he
which received seed by the way side.»
2) A closed
heart is an unbelieving heart, that is, not
able to trust God or to believe in God.
An open heart is a heart that has faith and trust in God.

In Mark
6:5-6, the Lord says :
«5 And he could
there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a
few sick folk, and healed them. 6 And he marvelled
because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages,
teaching.»
3) A closed
heart is an unforgiving heart, that is, not
able to forgive others.
An open heart is a heart that forgives unconditionally.

In Mark
11:25, the Lord says :
« And when ye stand
praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also
which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses..»
4) A closed
heart is a hateful heart, that is, not able to
love others.
An open heart is a heart full of love for others.
An open heart is a heart full of love for others.
In 1 John
4:20, the Lord says :
« If a man say, I love
God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his
brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? »

As you pray for the open heaven, check
today the state of your heart and remember that when your heart is closed, your
heaven will be also closed and when your heart is opened, your heaven will be
also opened. The Lord says therefore to you today,
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
SO SHALL IT BE!
