JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD PART 1

When the heaven was opened for Jesus, the voice of the Father came and said, 

"This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17)

When again he was transfigured at the mountain, the Father testified again about Jesus Christ,

"This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." (Matthew 17:5)

The Father is revealing to us today that Jesus Christ is his SON

HOW DID JESUS LIVE HIS SONSHIP RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS FATHER ON THE EARTH?

1. As the Son of God, Christ was continually addressing his prayers to his Father who is his God.

"In the days of his flesh, Jesus had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto [the Father] that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared" - (Hebrews 5: 7)

2. As the Son of God, Christ lived in total submission and dependence to His Father's will.

 «And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.» (Matthew 26:39)

3. As the Son of God, Christ never acted according to his imagination, but always according to the order of his Father.

«However, I want the world to know that I love the Father and that I am doing exactly what the Father has commanded me to do. Get up! We have to leave.» (John 14:31)

APPLICATION AND PRAYERS

 1. As the Son of God, Christ was continually addressing his prayers to his Father who is his God.

If you are a son of God, do you pray continually?

Examine yourself and pray with 1 Thessalonians 5:17

2. As the Son of God, Christ lived in total submission and dependence to His Father's will.

If you are are a son of God, are you submitted and dependent to the will of the Father ?

Examine yourself and pray with James 4:7

3. As the Son of God, Christ never acted according to his imagination, but always according to the order of his Father.

If you are a son of God, do you act according to the order of the Father or do you depend on your own imagination ?

Examine yourself and pray with Proverbs 3:5
