THE UNCHANGEABLE (IMMUTABLE) GOD
One of the first great Biblical statements is of God’s immutability. Simply stated, that means God is unchangeable. He is neither capable of nor susceptible to change. And that makes sense. Any change would probably be for the better or for the worse. God cannot change for the better because He is already perfect. And He cannot change for the worse, for then He would be imperfect and would therefore no longer be God. Created things change; they run down or wear out. It is part of their constitutional nature. But God has no beginning or end. Therefore He cannot change.
This is what we read in James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
In Malachi 3:6, the Bible says, For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
= 1 HOUR PRAISE TO THE UNCHANGEABLE GOD =
PRAISE 1 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE When God speaks it is always true. He never speaks in error. He never changes His mind. He never said anything He was sorry for or had to take back. His Word is settled and unchanging.
IT IS WRITTEN, "Forever, O LORD, Thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89).
IT IS WRITTEN, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever" (Isaiah 40:8).
PRAISE 2 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE his plan and purpose for our lives can never change and no amount of satanic opposition can change them!
IT IS WRITTEN, "The LORD’S plan stands firm forever. His thoughts stand firm in every generation." (Psalms 33:11 GWV)
IT IS WRITTEN, “My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure” (Isaiah 46:9-10).
IT IS WRITTEN, "Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed [it] by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us" (Hebrews 6:17-18)
PRAISE 3 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE his knowledge is unchanging. Praise Him because his knowledge never increases and never decreases.
IT IS WRITTEN, "All of God’s works are known to him from eternity.’ (Acts 15:18 WEB)
PRAISE 4 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE he is not like men who change. Praise him because he never lies and will never lie and he will never change his mind.
IT IS WRITTEN, "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)
IT IS WRITTEN, “And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind; for He is not a man that He should change His mind” (1 Samuel 15:29).
PRAISE 5 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE what he did with our fathers in the faith (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, etc), he will equally do with us in this generation.
IT IS WRITTEN, "There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee."(Joshua 1:5)
IT IS WRITTEN, "And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with thee." (Joshua 3:7)
PRAISE 6 | PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE he is JEHOVAH. The I AM WHO I AM. What He is will continue to be for ever and ever.
IT IS WRITTEN, "I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." (Exodus 3:14)
