21 HOURS EMMAUS EXPERIENCE DAY ,,, DAY 9... "GOD DOES NOT SEEK WORSHIP. GOD SEEKS WORSHIPPERS"

WEDNESDAY 29.11.2017
"GOD DOES NOT SEEK WORSHIP. GOD SEEKS WORSHIPPERS"

God's pattern in worship is that God does not seek worship but God seeks the worshipper.

In John 4:23, the Lord Jesus confirms that the Father is not first looking for true worship but for true worshippers. IT IS WRITTEN,
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."

When Cain and Abel were offering to God, the Bible shows clearly that God looked at Cain and Abel first before he could consider their offerings. In Genesis 4:4 we read the following:
Genesis 4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
Genesis 4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

The pattern appears also in the book of Malachi where we read how the Lord says not having pleasure in his people first neither in their offering last. IT IS WRITTEN,
Malachi 1:10 Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.

Worship is not therefore about how good you sing but worship is about how true you are in the sight of God. If God does not have pleasure in you, worship is a waste of time.

WHAT IS THE PROFILE OF TRUE WORSHIPPERS ?

- True worshippers are born again. They are saved people. (John 3:3)

True worshippers worship him alone. (Matthew 4:10)

True worshippers worship him with all their heart. (Deuteronomy 11:13)

True worshippers worship him without having confidence in the flesh. (Philippians 3:3)

True worshippers worship him in holiness. (Psalm 24:1-6)

 - True worshippers worship him by bearing fruits. (John 15:8)

Our praise focus today will be on the OMNISCIENCE OF GOD. What does it mean? Omniscience means all-knowing. God is all all-knowing in the sense that he is aware of the past, present, and future. Nothing takes him by surprise.

In 1 John 3:20, it is clearly written that " ... GOD knows everything."

What does it imply for us?
  • We can trust Him for everything
  • We can rely on Him for everything
  • It is useless to think and believe that we can run away from him or hide anything from him
  • It is useless, abominable and an insult in the eyes of God to consult fortune tellers to know things concerning our future
For one hour, let us praise God as we focus on 12 ASPECTS OF HIS OMNISCIENCE

1) GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING YOU DO.

Jeremiah 16:17 I see everything that they do. They can’t hide anything from me. Their wickedness can’t be hidden; I can see it.

2) GOD KNOWS HIS PLAN FOR YOU

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

3) GOD KNOWS WHAT IS HIDDEN IN DARKNESS

Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.
Daniel 2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what [is] in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.
4) GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU WILL SAY BEFORE YOU SAY

Psalms 139:4 Even before there is a single word on my tongue, you know all about it, LORD.

5) GOD KNOWS YOUR NAME

Isaiah 43:1 The LORD created Jacob and formed Israel. Now, this is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid, because I have reclaimed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.

6) GOD KNOWS YOUR SORROWS

Exodus 3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which [are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

7) GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED

Matthew 6:8 Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

8) GOD KNOWS THE NUMBER OF THE HAIR ON YOUR HEAD

Luke 12:7 Even every hair on your head has been counted. Don’t be afraid! You are worth more than many sparrows.

9) GOD KNOWS FOR HOW LONG YOU GO THROUGH WHAT YOU GO THROUGH

John 5:6 Jesus saw the man lying there and knew that he had been sick for a long time. So Jesus asked the man, "Would you like to get well?"

10) GOD KNOWS EVERYTHING (past, present, future, thoughts, plots of wicked, feelings, ...)

1 John 3:20, "... GOD knows everything."
John 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
11) GOD KNOWS WHAT HE WILL DO FOR YOU

John 6:6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

12) GOD KNOWS YOUR ADDRESS

Acts 10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for [one] Simon, whose surname is Peter: 6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
JESUS IS LORD !
