⏩ COVENANT MONTH OF PREVAILING PRAYER ⏪ KEY 11 "BE SPECIFIC"

There is a call from heaven of being specific at our prayer altar because until our prayer is specific we cannot know whether it is answered or not.

What does it mean to be specific in prayer?

1. To be specific means to define clearly your request to the Lord

2. To be specific means to be detailed and exact in your prayer

What are the benefits of being specific in prayer?

1. Only specific prayers entitle to specific answers

Before Jesus answers Bartimaeus’ prayer, he asked him a question, “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51).

Why this question? Jesus was asking this question so to entitle Bartimaeus to specific answer.

2. Specific prayers feed the expectation and help to monitor the answer

Hannah was specific in her prayer and asked the Lord specifically for a boy, saying,
“And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.” (1 Samuel 1:11)

MY CONFESSION TODAY

1) What is your specific request to the Lord today?

2) Father, in the Name of Jesus, I pray that you will take away any confusion and doubt from my heart. I pray for clarity and clearness as I come to my prayer altar in the Name of Jesus Christ!
