IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 66:8
Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? [or] shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.
To prevail in prayer it is important and vital to travail and labour
until you deliver the desired result in prayers.
Travailing supposes that you are pregnant and expectant of something.
In Galatians 4:19, Paul
says to the Galatians,
“My little children, of whom I travail in
birth again until Christ be formed in you,”
The question today is this, “What are you pregnant of? What are you
about to birth?”
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF TRAVAILING IN PRAYER?
1st benefit: You do not wish to deliver. You push to deliver
In John 16:21, Jesus says
clearly,
“A woman when she is in travail hath
sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child,
she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the
world.”
2nd benefit: Only those who travail will prevail over the
enemy
In Revelation 12:2, the Bible
gives a picture of a woman who was travailing in birth. As she was travailing,
the dragon who is the devil stood before her to devour her child.
But in Revelation 12:5, despite the opposition of the evil one, she
prevailed and gave birth to her son as it is written,
“And
she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of
iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and [to] his throne.”
WHAT IS YOUR PRAYER TODAY?
Jesus is Lord!
