WORD OF LIFE CHURCH INTERNATIONAL: ⏩ COVENANT OF MARVELS ⏪ DAY 9 "TEST ALL THINGS ... THE DEVIL ALSO DOES MARVELS"

SCRIPTURE

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14)

"The man of sin will come with the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous and wonderful signs. But they will be lies." (2 Thessalonians 2:9)

KEY STATEMENT

From Scriptures, it appears clearly that every marvel does not have God as the source. Satan can also do marvels.

In Matthew 24:24, Jesus says, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

In 2 Corinthians 11:14, Paul says "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

In 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Paul says again : "The man of sin will come with the power of Satan. He will use every kind of power, including miraculous and wonderful signs. But they will be lies."

In Exodus 7:11, Pharaoh's magicians were able to do the same miracle Moses was performing. It is written : "Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments."

HOW DO I MAKE THE DIFFERENCE?

While miracles from God have a purpose to draw people to God and to give glory to God, the devil performs wonders to do exactly the opposite.

1. Miracles from God humble men under the power of God. Miracles from the devil make men arrogant and pride.

When the magicians were performing their miracles, the Bible says that Pharaoh's heart was heardened and he could not hear.

In Exodus 7:13, it is written : "He hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said."

2. Miracles from God give glory to God. Miracles from the devil praise men.

Again in Acts 8, we find that there was a magician who was performing miracles in Samaria. Through them he was bewitching the people of Samaria and causing them to praise him not God

In Acts 8:9-10, the Bible says, "But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one. To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

3. Miracles from God are performed by true servants of God in order to lead the people to God. Miracles from the devil are performed by false Christs and false prophets in order to deceive, to mislead and to turn the people from the true way.

In Mark 13:22, Jesus says, "Because there will be false Christs and false prophets, and they will give signs and wonders in the hope of turning even the saints from the true way.

5 FACTS PROVING THE SUPERIORITY OF GOD'S POWER OVER THE THE DEVIL'S POWER

The good News is that though the agents of Satan perform also marvels, the superiority of God's power over the devil's power is incontestable and indisputable. Some biblical facts confirm it :

1st fact : Moses' rod swallowed the magicians' rod

While the magicians were able to change their rods into snakes, as Moses did, they were powerless to prevent Moses' serpent from eating their serpents alive.

In Exodus 7:12, the Bible says, "For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods."

2nd fact : The magicians were also able to turn water to blood, but unlike Moses, the magicians had no water to drink after they did so.

In Exodus 7:20-21, we read this, "And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. 21 And the fish that was in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt."

In Exodus 7:24, the Bible says "All the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river."

3rd fact : The magicians were able to bring up frogs upon the land of Egypt like Moses. But unlike Moses, they were not able to take them away from the land.

In Exodus 8:8, Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, "Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD."

4th fact : Moses caused lice to come everywhere throughout the land. At that particular time, the magicians tried hard to imitate but they could not do. They then admitted that they were losing.

In Exodus 8:19, the magicians said unto Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God."

5th fact : Moses then afflicted the magicians themselves with boils over their faces so they were not able to stand before Moses.

In Exodus 9:11, we read this : "And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians."

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

PRAYER 1 | FATHER, THANK YOU FOR EMPOWERING YOUR PEOPLE TO BRUISE THE HEAD OF THE ANCIENT SERPENT AND TO WIN THE BATTLE OVER THEIR OFFSPRING IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Genesis 3:15 “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

PRAYER 2 | FATHER, YOUR PEOPLE BELONG TO THE SEED OF THE JEWS. AS A MATTER OF FACT, HAMAN IS NOT PERMITTED TO PREVAIL AGAINST THEM. TODAY, CAUSE HAMAN TO FALL BEFORE YOUR PEOPLE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Esther 6:13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every [thing] that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai [be] of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

PRAYER 3 | FATHER, BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, DON'T LET ANYTHING TO HURT OR HARM YOUR PEOPLE TODAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Luke 10:19 “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”

PRAYER 4 | FATHER, BY REDEMPTION YOUR SONS ARE SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES WHERE THE DRAGON AND HIS ANGELS PUT TOGETHER ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PREVAIL. HELP THEM TO BE HEAVENLY CONSCIOUS, HEAVENLY MINDED AND HEAVENLY ORIENTED SO THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS WALK IN VICTORY OVER THE ENEMY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
