⏩ COVENANT OF MARVELS ⏪ DAY 21 "YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT SMALL THINGS CAN DO TO TURN LIVES AROUND "

We live today in a society where there is so much hypocrisy. A society where people pretend to be supportive while behind the back they are destructive and oppresive.

We live in a society where people can look like they care but in reality they care as long as it fits their own selfish and self-centered agendas.

I hear God crying out and looking for someone who can really care and reach out to the poor, the needy, the broken-hearted and the crushed for the sake of the Kingdom of God not for the sake of gaining anything in return.

Going back again to the text of John 5:5-9, where we see that man with 38 years of infirmity, Jesus is teaching us today about the power of reaching out to help someone.

WHAT DID JESUS DO TO REACH OUT TO THIS PARALYTIC MAN?

a) Jesus never waited this man to come to him. He went to him.

To reach out to others, don't wait for them to come to you or to invite you. Go to them.
Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"

b) Jesus did not have money to give this man. All he had was his heart.

To reach out to others, you don't need money in your hand first but you need compassion in your heart first.
Acts 3:6 "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."

c) Jesus never spoke many words toward this man. Just six words spoken from the heart and with power of the anointing were enough to put an end to his predicament.
John 5:8 "Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk."
You don't need big things to reach out. You never know how your simple presence, your simple smile or your simple attention can make a big difference in turning someone's life around.

- Mary's salutation was enough to cause the baby in Elisabeth's womb to leap with joy
Luke 1:41 "And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost."

- The 5 small loaves and 2 small fishes given from the heart were enough to feed 5ooo men.
John 6:11 "And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."

d) Jesus overlooked the religious observance of the sabbath to cause this man to enter into his sabbath of healing and restoration.
John 5:9 "And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath."
If you really want to reach out to somebody, you ought to get out your box (your comfort zone, your denominational background, your nationality, your tribe, youro gender...)

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REACHING OUT TO OTHERS?

1st benefit : Moses reached out to help the daughters of Jethro. By doing so, he found a man who will be his spiritual father for his lifetime, he found a place to live for 40 years, he found a wife and he found a job which sustained him 40 years.
Exodus 2:17 "And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock."

2nd benefit : David reached out to help this man abandoned in the way by the Amalekites. This man was an Egyptian. By reaching out to help him, David found a way to reach those who spoiled Ziklag and to recover all that was stolen.
1 Samuel 30:11 And they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David, and gave him bread, and he did eat; and they made him drink water; 12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, three days and three nights. [...] 1 Samuel 30:18 And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away: and David rescued his two wives.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

NOTE 1 | ANYONE IN THE "GO" TO REACH OUT TO OTHERS WILL  ALWAYS SECURE THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IN HIS LIFE
Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen."
PRAYER 1 | FATHER, GRANT ME AN OBEDIENT HEART TO GO AND REACH OUT TO SOMEBODY. THANK YOU FOR SECURING ME WITH YOUR PRESENCE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

NOTE 2 | GOD WILL NEVER REQUIRE YOU TO REACH OUT WITH WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE. IDENTIFY WHAT YOU HAVE. GO WITH IT AND SEE WHAT GOD WILL DO WITH IT.
Acts 3:6 "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
PRAYER 2 | FATHER, I SAY THANK YOU FOR WHAT I HAVE FROM YOU. USE ME TO REACH OUT TO SOMEBODY TODAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
NOTE 3 | REACHING OUT DOES NOT MEAN DOING FOR OTHERS WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. IT IS EMPOWERING THEM TO DO WHAT THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO DO BY THEMSELVES
John 5:8 "Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk."
PRAYER 3 | FATHER, AS I REACH OUT TO SOMEBODY, EMPOWER ME TO EMPOWER SOMEBODY. CHANGE  ME TO CHANGE SOMEBODY. HEAL ME TO HEAL SOMEBODY. BLESS ME TO BLESS SOMEBODY. ANSWER ME TO BE AN ANSWER TO SOMEBODY. IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
NOTE 3 | REACHING OUT DOES NOT MEAN YOU BECOME A GOD FOR PEOPLE. IT MEANS YOU ALLOW GOD TO USE YOU TO LEAD THEM TO GOD WHO ONLY IS ABLE TO DO MARVELS IN THEIR LIVES.
John 6:11 "And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would."
PRAYER 4 | FATHER, MAY THE PEOPLE I REACH OUT TO TODAY KNOW YOU PERSONNALLY . KEEP ME FROM THE TRAP OF BECOMING THEIR GOD. KEEP MY HEART PURE, CLEAN AND INTACT FROM ANY DEFILEMENT IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!

SO SHALL BE
JESUS IS LORD
