SCRIPTURE

Luke 5:1-11

KEY STATEMENT

At the very same place where Peter toiled all the night and failed, Jesus showed up in the morning and turned the failure into A NET BREAKING AND BOAT SINKING PLACE.

"Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake." (Luke 5:5)

Why did Peter fail? What happened that turned his failure into success?

Peter failed because Jesus was out of his boat. He succeeded when Jesus entered in the boat.

Peter failed because he relied on his own expertise and experience. He succeeded when he relied on Jesus' word and wisdom

Peter failed when he was in darkness. He succeeded when light came.

Peter failed because he was using the boat only for his own interest. He succeeded when the boat shifted to serve Christ's interest.

Peter failed because he lacked divine direction and divine instruction. He succedeed when he obeyed divine direction and followed divine instruction.

Peter admitted his failure and refused to dwell in it. He took Jesus at his word, obeyed the instruction and turned from failure into success.

6 THINGS TO DO TO TURN YOUR PLACE OF FAILURE INTO A NET BREAKING AND BOAT SINKING PLACE

1st thing : STOP LIVING AS YOUR OWN LORD. START LIVING UNDER JESUS' LORDSHIP.

1 Peter 5:6 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time"

2nd thing: STOP RELYING ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. START RELYING ON GOD’S WISDOM.

Proverbs 3:7 "Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."

3rd thing: STOP LIVING IN DARKNESS. START LIVING IN LIGHT.

Ephesians 5:8 "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light"

4th thing : STOP LIVING FOR YOUR PERSONAL AND SELFISH INTEREST. START LIVING FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD'S INTEREST.

Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

5th thing: STOP LIVING IN DESOBEDIENCE. START LIVING IN OBEDIENCE TO DIVINE DIRECTION AND INSTRUCTION.

1 Samuel 15:22 "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD [as great] delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey [is] better than sacrifice, [and] to hearken than the fat of rams."

6th thing: STOP DWELLING IN THE FAILURE OF THE PAST. START ENGAGING AND LIVING THE WORD TODAY TO ESTABLISH YOUR BRIGHT DESTINY IN JESUS CHRIST.

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS

PRAYER 1 | REPENT FOR KEEPING JESUS CHRIST OUT OF THE BOAT OF YOUR LIFE. REPENT ALSO FOR PRIDE AND SURRENDER TOTALLY YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

PRAYER 2 | PRAY THE LORD TO BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM THAT WILL ENABLE YOU TO KNOW WHAT TO DO, WHY TO DO, HOW TO DO, WHEN TO DO, WITH WHO TO DO.

1 Kings 3:9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?

James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all [men] liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

PRAYER 3 | PRAY THE FATHER TO ENLIGHTEN YOUR LIFE AND OPEN YOUR SPIRITUAL EYES CAUSING YOU TO LIVE TOTALLY IN THE LIGHT AS A CHILD/DAUGHTER OF THE LIGHT.

Ephesians 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

PRAYER 4 | PRAY THE FATHER TO EMPOWER YOU TO LIVE YOUR LIFE ONLY FOR THE INTERESTS OF HIS KINGDOM.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

PRAYER 5 | PRAY AND ASK THE FATHER TO INSTRUCT YOU, TO TEACH YOU AND GUIDE YOU FROM HENCEFORTH UNTIL THE END OF YOUR JOURNEY ON THE EARTH.

Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

PRAYER 6 | PRAY THAT THE FATHER GRANTS YOU THE GRACE TO DEPART FROM THE DISAPPOINTMENTS, SETBACKS AND FAILURES OF THE PAST AND TO MOVE CONFIDENTLY TO YOUR GLORIOUS DESTINY.

Isaiah 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Philippians 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

PRAYER 7 | PRAY AND DECLARE WITH FAITH THAT THE REMAINING DAYS OF THIS YEAR 2017 WILL BE YOUR NET BREAKING AND BOAT SINKING SEASON IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !!!
