DAY 9 JESUS HEALS TEN LEPERS (Luke 17:11-19)

INTERCESSORY PRAYER GUIDELINES

PRAYER 1 PRAY FOR INSIGHT AND FAITH TO MAKE THE MOST OF LIFE'S OPPORTUNITIES

In Luke 17:11, it is written that Jesus was passing through. Then, the lepers seized the  opportunity to get their desired breakthrough.

Are you spiritually sensitive enough to see and seize divine opportunities along your way ?

LET US PRAY

- Father,  I pray that you help me by your spirit to believe right so that I can understand that :

• I am not disadvantaged in this world.
• You are not respecter of people.
• Sun rises over everybody irrespectively.

 Read and pray with Matthew 5:44; Acts 10:34; Galatians 3:28

- Father, I pray for insight and faith that will enable me to locate and appropriate opportunities that will change my life for the better

Read and pray with 2 Kings 4:9 and Genesis 18:1-16

PRAYER 2 PRAY FOR A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS 

In Luke 17:12, the Bible says that "the lepers stood afar off". It was so because according to  the law, the lepers were uncleaned and were not allowed to live within the city but without.

But in the New Covenant it is written that "Now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ." ( Ephesians 2:13)

What is it in your life that keeps you far from the Lord and  hinders you from being close to God ?

LET US PRAY TO DEAL WITH GUILT,  REJECTION AND SIN 

- Lord Jesus, by the power of your blood, let  every wall which separates me or my family members be broken today in your Name.

Read and pray with Hebrews 10:19

-  Lord Jesus, I pray today that  your blood cleanses my conscience from useless things and guilt.

Read and pray with Hebrews 9:14,  1 John 1:7-9 and Revelation 7:14

PRAYER 3 PRAY TO REVOKE THE SPIRIT OF REBELLION AND PRIDE

It is written : "Jesus told the lepers "GO AND SHEW YOURSELVES TO THE PRIEST ". Why this instruction ? Jesus wanted to deal with pride and rebellion in the heart before leprosy could depart from them.

Scriptures confirm that leprosy is a plague directly connected to rebellion (resisting and opposing goldly authorities) and pride (refusal to submit to authorities)

- God cursed Miriam with leprosy for speaking against Moses (Numbers 12:1, 9-15)

- God cursed Gehazi with leprosy because of greed and disloyalty to his master the prophet Elisha (2 Kings 5:27)

- God cursed Uzziah with leprosy because of his pride and his opposition against the priests (2 Chronicles 26:16-20)

LET US PRAY TO REPENT BEFORE THE LORD AND REVOKE THE PLAGUE OF LEPROSY:

- Pray and ask God to forgive and have mercy on you anytime you have criticized your spiritual authorities

- Pray and ask God to forgive and have mercy on you because of your pride

- Pray and ask God to forgive and have mercy on you because of your greed

- Pray and ask God to forgive and have mercy on you because of your stubbornness which causes you to oppose your spiritual authorities

PRAYER 4 PRAY FOR A THANKFUL HEART AND REPENT FOR UNGRATEFULNESS

Out of ten healed, only one came back to thank God.

Do you have a thankful heart ? Do you show appreciation for the blessing bestowed to you ? What can you thank God for today ?

MAKE YOUR PERSONAL THANKSGIVING PRAYER TO THE LORD.
