15-Day Devotional: Allowing Yourself to Dream | Day 8: Trust That God Has a Plan for You

15-Day Devotional: Allowing Yourself to Dream | Day 8: Trust That God Has a Plan for You

Scripture:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11 (ESV)

Reflection:

Too often, we silence our dreams because we assume they’re too grand—or that we’re not worthy of them. We reserve big visions for “special” people, forgetting that God’s Word declares His intentional, hopeful plans for each of us. Consider Joseph: his dreams seemed absurd to his brothers (Genesis 37), yet they were divine previews of his destiny. Your God-given dreams are not accidents—they are sacred seeds planted by the Creator Himself, meant to grow into the future He has prepared for you.

Today’s Practice:

Pause and Reflect: What dream have you tucked away because it felt too bold or impossible?

Put It on Paper:

In your journal, write down one vision God has placed in your heart—even if you’ve been afraid to name it aloud.

Seek Divine Clarity: Pray honestly: “Lord, is this dream from You? Give me confirmation, wisdom, and the courage to step forward in faith.”

Prayer:

Father, I release every doubt and fear that has kept me from embracing Your plans. Align my desires with Your purpose. Remind me daily that You have ordained a future filled with hope—and that You delight in fulfilling the dreams You’ve placed within me. Strengthen my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
