THE 7 ALTARS BUILT BY ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB | FRI 21-02-2025 | THE ALTAR OF BEERSHEBA

THE 7 ALTARS BUILT BY ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB | FRI 21-02-2025 | THE ALTAR OF BEERSHEBA

● Genesis 26:25 And Isaac builded an altar there, and called upon the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there: and there Isaac's servants digged a well.

● Isaac faced numerous challenges as he navigated through hostile territories, enduring relentless attacks from the Philistines. Despite their repeated attempts, each attack ultimately failed to deter him. His journey was marked by constant movement, as he sought refuge from one place to another, always pursued by his adversaries. However, upon reaching a place where the Philistine hostility ceased, Isaac found a moment of peace.

● From Rehoboth, Isaac ventured to Beersheba, where he made a significant decision to build an altar as his response to God who appeared to him to assure him of His Presence and confirm the validity of the promises made to his father Abraham.

This altar symbolized more than just a physical structure; it represented a turning point.

● Remarkably, those who had once rejected and opposed him returned, seeking reconciliation. This powerful shift underscores the profound impact of the altar, symbolizing how faith and perseverance can convert opposition into submission and bring about unity, peace and prosperity.
