Fact 1 : Every man with an unhealed wound is a potential murderer
● Genesis 4:6 (KJV) And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
- Cain become a murderer due to unprocessed jealousy.
- Don't take unhealed wounds lightly
Fact 2 : Every man with an unhealed wound is a prisoner of his evil feelings.
- When you are wounded, you lock yourself up in fortress of hatred, bitterness and harbour anger and evil.
Fact 3 : Every man with an unhealed wound is a potential parent of wounded generation.
- If you don't allow God to heal you, you will give birth to children who have same wounds because you will handover bitterness that they have nothing to do with them.
Fact 4 : Every man with an unhealed wound is prone to a dysfunctional relationship.
- If a man is not yet healed, if a woman is not yet healed will never have a healthy relationship.
- The problem people have in relationship come from the problems people have in their hearts.
- Woe unto you if you marry a wounded person. Be ready for trouble without number.
- Don't be a friend of a wounded person, if they are not willing ro be healed.
● James 4:1 (KJV) From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
- The battles between us come from the battles within us.
- There is hope if you are willing.
● Jeremiah 8:22 (KJV) Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
- Do you want to be healed? (John 5:6) Jesus can heal you.
INNER WOUNDS CHECK
How would you know you have inner wounds?
1. Cry/complaints
- A person who has unhealed wounds cry.
● Job 24:12 (TLV) From the city men groan, and the souls of the wounded cry out; yet God charges no one with folly.
2. Opening in the soul
- The same way a wound has an opening on the flesh, inner wounds provoke an opening in the soul.
- Inner wounds can be manifested throug self pity, disappointments, evil thoughts, exhaustion etc. It becomes the entry point of the devil
Genesis 4:23 (KJV)
And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
A wounded heart / Inner wounds has
- Evil thoughts
- Bitterness, revengeful
- Unforgivess, anger
- Regrets, sulking
- Loneliness
- Suscpicition, resentful, hateful.
- Distrust
Lamech was from the generation of cain who was a murderer.
- Inner wounds can be generational. Don't transfer your wounds to your children.
- A wounded person won't love you from the heart.
3. Harmful behaviours
- Lamech was self centered, selfish, murderer, hot tempered like his ancestor Cain.
- A man who has unhealed unner wounds, shields his wounds.
A wounded person will shield his wounds by having strong holds
- Being in polygamous marriage
- Multiple partners.
- Being a workaholic/ working hard
- Being arrogant
- There is a man killing him inside and looks for a man that fits that profile outside to kill.
- Moses for example killed an Egyptian because of inner wounds. He was an hebrew but grew as an Egyptian which he didn't like and he wanted to kill the Egyptian in him.
- A person who grew up with issues with his or her father of mother for example will grow up with unresolved issues which grow to inner wounds. The person will end up punishing his or her partner in relationship for the mistakes of his or parent. He or she will look at you like that father or mother that wounded her.
- And you who is married to a wounded person will live as a victim.
● To heal you need to,
1. Surrender to God. (Zechariah 2:4-5)
- Drop the measuring line
- Break those walls that shield you.
- Don't let one person who spoilt your life cause you to lock your life. 99% of people did nothing to you.
- Let God be your wall and protection. Trust God again.
2. Let the spirit of God heal your inner conversations. (Romans 12:2)
- Inner wounds comes with voices.
- Reprogram yourself mentally.
- Allow the Holy Spirit to renew your mind.
● Pray : Lord, heal me. Cleanse me from inside. Renew my mind. I surrender my inner battles to you. I pray for inner healing. Lord, I allow you to heal me.
There is Balm in Gilead, allow God to heal you
