KINGDOM BIBLE STUDY | IT IS YOU TO BUILD YOUR FAITH TO DEFEAT YOUR GIANTS | WEDNESDAY 24-05-2023

KINGDOM BIBLE STUDY  | IT IS YOU TO BUILD YOUR FAITH TO DEFEAT YOUR GIANTS | WEDNESDAY 24-05-2023

STATEMENT | No one will build the muscles of your faith for you. You must take responsibility to build it yourself.

● So, faith is like a muscle and needs to be exercised.

● The people with strong muscles do not have more muscles than others. They have just traineed themselves to work their muscles out more than others. Period.

● There are some who have chosen/taken responsibility to grow their faith more than others.

● From 2 Thessalonians 1:3, we learn that faith has an unlimited capacity to grow.

"We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing."

● The question I am asking you today is ... IS YOUR FAITH GROWING?

●  Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved,  building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

● What does it mean? It is you to build your faith. Nobody will do it for you.

● What are you doing to GROW YOUR FAITH? I mean, are you taking responsibility to GROW YOUR FAITH?

ASSESSMENT OF FAITH TO KNOW IF YOUR FAITH IS GROWING

● If your faith is not growing, you are a serious concern for God the same way a parent is concerned with a son/daughter who is not growing.

LEVEL 1 :  LITTLE FAITH

● Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

1- Always Worries (anxious, restless, discouraged, ...) about tomorrow, clothes, food, drink, etc.

2- Always Fearful (frightened, terrified...) over everything

● Matthew 8:26 “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”

3- Easily get distracted, doubtful, uncertain,...

● Matthew 14:31 “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

● Peter was walking on water his eyes were on Jesus but suddenly he started drowning.  Why? Because of little faith.

4- Easily Forgetful, slow to understand

● Matthew 16:8–11 “O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember . . . ? How is it that you fail to understand . . . ?”

● When Peter cried, “Lord, save me” as he began to sink into the sea, we read, “Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him” ( Matthew 14:30–31 )

● Jesus, more merciful than the storm is strong, always stands ready to save his people of little faith.

LEVEL 2 : WEAK FAITH (wavering faith)

1- Walks by sight/need to see to believe : the grasshopper faith/the unfocused believer

2- Depends on their feelings and emotions

3- Easily gives up when things don't go the way they were expected to go

4- Always murmur/complain/grumble/argue/sees sins everywhere

5- Is unstable in all his ways.

6- Double-mindedness, which means, "two-souled," a constant changing of the mind, (Vines).

7- Cannot maintain a consistent course of action, but wavers back and forth, both in faith and in their actual requests of God.

8- Cannot hold tightly to their requests until they have received the answer.

● Romans 4:19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:

● Romans 14:1-3 Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. 2 For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables...

● James 1:5-7 KJV "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed," For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways,

LEVEL 3 : STRONG FAITH

● Romans 4:20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

● Romans 4:21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

1- Does not need to see to believe

2- Does not need to feel. Is not emotional

3- Never gives up no matter the circumstance

4- Ever praiseful, thankful no matter the circumstance

5- Ever stable in all his ways.

6- Single minded

7- Consistent course of action

8- Hold tightly to the Word until they receive the promise.

LEVEL 4 :  GREAT FAITH

● Matthew 8:8-10 “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed." "When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!"

● Matthew 15:21-28 “...O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire..."

1- I will not let you go until you bless me kind of faith

2- Avenge me of my adversary kind of faith

3- An unrelenting totally persuaded type of faith, that does not give up until the request is granted.

4- This faith will always move God to answer.

WHAT IS THE BLESSING/BENEFIT/ADVANTAGE OF GREAT FAITH?

1- You qualify for the next level blessing/grace and favour

● There are things I can't give my children because they can't handle. There are things God can't give to you because of the weakness of your faith.

2. You will be able to handle the giants in your family.

● Caleb said, "I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said" ( Joshua 14:12/14 )

3- You become a living wonder, a living marvel to God and to the world

● Jesus marveled at the faith of the centurion, and said to those who followed, "I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel." (Matthew 8:8-10)

4- You can deal and conquer the giants tormenting others.

● Your faith will grow finally in Jesus Name. But you have to take responsibility.

● Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

● You are the one to build your faith to move from the level of little faith, weak faith, strong faith to great faith.

PRINCIPLES THAT WILL HELP YOU TO BUILD YOUR FAITH

1- LITTLE BY LITTLE PRINCIPLE

● Deuteronomy 7:22 The LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.

●It means,  practice makes perfect. The only way faith can be built is by taking practical little steps one after another.

● You don't build your faith  at once, you build it daily.

● James 2:18  Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

● The steps you take are what will show your faith. Take (decide, choose, dare ... ) little challenge and train yourself daily and consistently, then monthly and consistently, then annually and consistently and so forth.

● Purpose to trust God little by little over specific matters of your life daily and consistently.

● You don't build your faith by sleeping,  wishing and desiring. No, you take practical steps little by little.

● For example My humble testimony...

- I got out of borrowing and begging by making decisions and taking steps. If it's to go to Church trekking,  I would go without calling anybody for help. That is how the test of borrowing left my life.

● The giants tormenting your life you can't overcome them by a one's and for all action rather it takes little by little steps.

- We started with the devotion daily on Whatsapp in 2016 that builtour muscles.

● You don't build your muscles  at once. You build daily. Likewise, there is a daily action you need to take to build your faith.

-  Then, we started the MAP in English daily. Later we added the MAP in French daily.

- We started our fasting 3 days then we went to 21 days and later 40days

- Then, the evening sessions during the 40 days fasting which led to the midnight praise up to date.

● You don’t build your faith by wishing. Take practical steps to show that you believe.

- I decided to be paying tithe  little by little over everything my hand holds

● Start where you are. Little by little you will build your faith.

2- AGAIN AND AGAIN PRINCIPLE

● Proverbs 24:16 For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

● No matter how many times you fall or fail, rise up again until you get it right once and for all.

● A child who learns to walk does it through falling and rising. That is why he is called a toddler. But you should not remain a toddler forever.

● Even if you have fallen, rise again in the name of Jesus Christ.

3- IRON SHARPENS IRON PRINCIPLE

● Proverbs 27:17 proclaims: “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another”.

● This simple statement has been a calling for all these years to understand that no one is alone. In order for you to build your faith, you need to connect

● You need to connect to people of greater faith than yours.

● You need to sit and learn daily at the feet of men/women who have showed proofs of their faith to be imparted over the same.

● You need to be challenged. You need someone to get you out of the comfort zone. You need someone to confront your weaknesses.

● Look at eagles. How do they train their babies? They remove the straws from the nest to make it uncomfortable to force them to use their wings. Then they go high. Then they are left battling. Then they are picked up. And so on ...

● There is noway their wings can grow strong if they are left like that. You cannot grow your faith on your own. You need somebody of greater faith to mentor you.

● Athletes have coaches and mentors who coach them so that they will increase their potential and capacity.

Question : Who is mentoring you? Who is coaching you? Who is fathering you?

Locate somebody of greater faith than yours so that you can build your faith.

4- NO LIMIT PRINCIPLE

● Proverbs 4:18  But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

● 2 Thessalonians 1:3, We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.

● There is no limit to the growth of your faith. The only limit of your faith is what God says, nothing else.  God says, "I will be a wall around you" ( Zechariah 2:5 )

● My limit is not the economy of the country, not the taxes or the noise of what happens, not my pocket nor colour of my skin. My limit is what God says. There is no limit to what you can do; with God.
