IDENTIFY THE ALTAR SPEAKING IN YOUR LIFE | FRIDAY 26-05-2023
● In Judges 6:25, Gideon was instructed to take the bullock of 7 years old and offer it as a sacrifice in an ordered place. The age of the bullock corresponds with the number of years Israel was under the evil rulership of the midianites.
● Judges 6:1 NKJV Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD. So the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years,
● Judges 6:25-26 NKJV Now it came to pass the same night that the LORD said to him, "Take your father's young bull, the second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;
[26] and build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down."
CHAPTER 1 | 3 INFORMATION ABOUT ALTARS
● The word altar means a place of slaughter and sacrifice where blood is shed and death takes place.
1. ALTARS SPEAK
● When we talk about the father's house, think about it the context of Mathew 10:36 ( …enemies are in the household…). This is why God gave an instruction to throw down the altar in the father's house.
● Let us have a look at Rev 16:7. The Bible says, I heard out of the altar …
● What does it mean? Altars are places of voices. They speak.
Question : What is the altar that is speaking in your life?
● Remember… Wherever there is an altar, there is a sacrifice. Sometimes, they are blood sacrifices and the blood speaks
● Hebrews 12:24 NKJV Jesus is the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
● Remember the blood of Abel was speaking from the ground.
● Genesis 4:10 NKJV And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground.
● The blood that Jesus shed on the cross speaks over our lives.
● The blood flowing on your system from your father's house, since he is the carrier of the seed, the blood of where we come from, the blood speaks.
● This is why in 1 Peter 1:18-19 we see that the seed comes from the father, and father's are the communicators of vain conversations. Now, since the seed comes from a man, Mary conceived without a man, because the seed of the father was corrupted.
● 1 Peter 1:18-19 NKJV Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
[19] but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
● Jesus could therefore not be born of a physical father because he was without sin.
● The transmission of the blood line being from the father, God instructed Gideon to throw down the altars of Baal from his father's house.
● Today as we pray, any voice coming through the blood, from your father's house, from your lineage, will be silenced tonight forever. This is why we speak about the blood line.
● I trust God that from today, the altars of our father's house will not speak over our lives. Altars speak because of the sacrifices dedicated onto them.
● Altars from father's house speaks through the blood, and as a result, we see (divorcees, alcoholics e.t.c). Everything gets disorganized as the father is absent.
● When God speaks about destroying the altars of Baal from the father's house, it means to stop that altar from speaking in your life.
2. THE ALTAR IS A PLACE OF WORSHIP
● 1 Corinthians 10:20 NKJV Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons.
● This means a place where we are sharing the same thing/fate.
● Pray that you will not share the same fate as those on the same altar.
● When one is connected to an altar, whatever is happening on that altar will happen to you. e.g Cane and Lamech.
● It is for you to bring down the altar.
● If we believe in Science there is hereditary things in the physical, it follows that in the spiritual this is also true.
3. ALTARS CLAIM OWNERSHIP
● Judges 6:25-26 NKJV
Now it came to pass the same night that the LORD said to him, "Take your father's young bull, the7 second bull of seven years old, and tear down the altar of Baal that your father has, and cut down the wooden image that is beside it;
[26] and build an altar to the LORD your God on top of this rock in the proper arrangement, and take the second bull and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the image which you shall cut down."
● This means that the altars have rights over your life. Hence God instructs to destroy that altar.
● Baal means possess or, owner.. God instructed Gideon to bring down the altar as it was claiming his life.
● John 14:30 NKJV I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.
● The altar is built by dedicating oneself wholly to God.
CHAPTER 2 | HOW TO KNOW THE ALTAR FROM MY FATHER'S HOUSE IS SPEAKING

Observe your life.
The case of Gideon
Sign 1 | Threshing wheat in the winepress
● Judges 6:11 NKJV Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
● Gideon was a warrior, mighty, brave and courageous man.
● But he was living a life below his full potential. ( Judges 6:11 )
● Threshing is to beat out wheat or to separate wheat from the chaff.
● Threshing wheat means:
- You are struggling
- Living below your potential
- You try to rise but you fall
- You have gifts but you remain in obscurity. (Nobody sees you)
- You do the right thing in the wrong place and do the wrong thing in the right place
- You are stuck, stagnant and suffering setbacks constantly and regularly.
Sign 2. Misplacement
● Judges 6:11 NKJV Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
● You are not where you are supposed to be.
- Gideon was a warrior, commander in chief but he was living a fearful life of a farmer.
Sign 3. Fear
● Judges 6:11 NKJV Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.
● Fear is a graveyard; Many live in fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of people's opinions, fear of inadequacy, fear of incompetency, fear of competition and to take risk.
● Fear is not a feeling or emotion, fear is an evil spirit.
● 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
● Hebrews 2:15 NKJV and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Sign 4. Low self esteem
● Judges 6:15 NKJV So he said to Him, "O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house."
● In the winepress where he was, Gideon was struggling with inferiority complex and low self esteem combined with lack of confidence and a poor self image. (Judges 6:15)
● He was struggling to believe that he could smite the Midianites since he was afraid of them.
● I announce to you today ... The things you are struggling with today, you will smite and overcome them tomorrow.
● Judges 6:14 NKJV Then the LORD turned to him and said, "Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?"
● Don't allow the circumstances of your birth to define your life.
● Good News: God located Gideon. He will locate you.
CHAPTER 3 | WHAT TO DO
● When you destroy the evil altar in your life you need to connect to the right altar
● There are three altars that we need:
1. The altar of the cross
● Jesus died on the cross for us that's why you need to connect to the altar of the cross.
● Any evil altar speaking in your life, any voice or sacrifice offered at any place is cancelled by the blood of Jesus Christ.
● Receive Christ and Dedicate yourself fully to the altar of the cross so that the blood of Jesus will be speaking in your life.
2. The altar of the church
● Connect to a Church where God wants you to be; where God has appointed for you.
2 Samuel 7:10 Moreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more,; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, as beforetime
●God has ordained a pastor for you.
Jeremiah 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.
● Note: Not every Pastor is ordained to be your pastor. You need to locate your God ordained Pastor.
● God told Ezekiel to go to the Potter's house where he will make him hear his voice. (Jeremiah 18:3)
● You will not hear the voice of the Lord everywhere. There is a place God has ordained for you to hear the voice of God.
● You need to see the quality of the altar by the quality of the life of the people there.
● But God must direct your steps to a proper altar that you need to connect to mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, socially, emotionally... your whole being must connect to the altar so that the altar can speak in your life.
3. The altar of your personal covenant with God.
● Your tithe, offering, thanksgiving, alms, service, ministry, dedication, your prayer time, sessions and everything you do is the altar.
● Those are the 3 altars you can connect yourself to cancel evil altars so that they can not speak in your life and your next generation.
PRAYER GUIDELINES
1. Lord confirm your word in my life. I destroy any evil altar in my life. Let it not speak in my life.
2. I declare any evil altar that is not pf God will not claim anything in me.
3. The altars from my father's house you will no longer speak in my life. Poverty, divorce, immorality, drunkardness, stagnation, lesbianism, gayism will not speak in my life.
4. I disconnect myself by the blood of Jesus, from any evil altar by the blood of Jesus. I refuse to share the fate of some of the altars from my father's house.
5. I declare Baal you don't own me, you have no right, claim in my life in Jesus name.
6. I deny access to any altar of Baal over my life. No devil will claim me, My children, my future and my destiny.
7. I take responsibility
- To throw down any altar that is not of God.
- To raise an altar with a covenant with my God.
- To raise an altar to connect to the proper altar ordained for me.
8. I give my life to Christ. I pray to connect fully, mentally, socially, spiritually, physically, emotionally and financially to the altar you have ordained for me
9. Lord, connect me to the Pastor and the place you have ordained for me.
10. I am free today. I raise an altar to God for the next generation. Assist me, help me to be serious with my covenant at the altar.
