KINGDOM MINDSET FOR EFFECTIVE AUTHORITY
● Warfare is purely in the mind.
● Spiritual warfare is in the mind. If you loose the battle in the mind you will loose the battle everywhere.
● Paul says in 2Cor 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
- The Argument of men, pride of men. The real battle in life is in the mind.
● The Bible says, 'For as a man thinks in his heart so is he. ( Proverbs 23:7 )
A defeated mentality can not have a victorious life
A broken mentality cannot produce a whole life.
● Warefare is purely mental and there is a set in the mind that you and I need to actualize our dominion package in Christ. The mind set.
CHAPTER 1 : THE TWO MINDSET OF DOMINION
Today specifically I want to talk about two types of mindset.
PART 1 : FIRST MINDSET : THE MINDSET OF INVINCIBILITY
● In Mat 16:18, Jesus says to Peter … And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and THE GATES OF HELL SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT.
● The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. That is why as a believer you need to have the invincibility mentality.
What does it mean?
● It simply means that no matter the matter, the is noway the devil is permitted to prevail over me. It is a mindset
● But you must actualize that mindset in you for you to be effectually exercising your dominion in Christ.
The enemy is not permitted to prevail.
PART 2: BIBLE REASONS WHY THE DEVIL IS NOT PERMITTED TO PREVAIL
1st reason: Because On the cross, Jesus did not only save us and forgive our sins. He also disarmed, stripped and spoiled Satan.
● Col 2:15 Having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
● Let it be clear that Satan is powerless. Disarmed. Stripped. Naked. Spoiled. Helpless. Defeated.
2nd reason : Because Jesus has the keys of hell and death. So the devil cannot kill you and you have no reason to fear him.
● Do you know what? Jesus now holds the key of hell and of death ( Rev 1:18 ). Jesus now holds all power, riches, glory, wealth, honour, wisdom, strength and blessing ( Rev 5:12 )
● The devil cannot kill you. He has no power. Because the key of death is not in his hand but in the hand of God. Fear not.
● Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
3rd reason : Because Jesus has dispossessed the devil from all power. He has all in his hand now.
● Rev 5:12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
● Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
4th reason: Because it was impossible for the devil to prevail over Christ while on the earth.
● Act 2:24 God hath raised up Christ, having loosed the pains of death: because IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE THAT HE SHOULD BE HOLDEN OF IT.
● If death could not hold Christ. The same way it is impossible for the devil to tie you down in any way.
5th reason: Because, the devil is not and will never be superior to you in strength and in power.
● As far as redemption is concerned, In Christ, you are far more superior in power, in strength, in authority to him and his angels put together.
Hallelujah!!!
● 1 John 4:4 KJV Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU, than he that is in the world.
● Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, 8 And PREVAILED NOT; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
● Jeremiah 1:19 And they shall fight against thee; but THEY SHALL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST THEE; for I [am] with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.
THE DEVIL CAN CHALLENGE YOU. HE CAN ENGAGE WAR AGAINST YOU. BUT NO MATTER HOW BADLY THEY FIGHT, NO MATTER HOW LONG THE BATTLE WILL TAKE, THEY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PREVAIL IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!!!
6th reason: Because Satan is a fallen enemy. He failed in heaven. He is not permitted to prevail on the earth.
● I encourage you, you need to learn to win in the spiritual realm, in the invisible.
First of all, there was war in heaven
● Rev 12:7 There was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
● Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
- And you know what happened to him? The great dragon was cast out.
● Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, WHICH DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
● He failed in heaven, came on the earth with one great weapon; The weapon of deception.
● You should know, the enemy; the devil is a fighter, a warrior.
● I pray you receive that mentality of fighters.
*Secondly, The devil prevailed not. He lost.
● I announce to you no matter what the devil plots or cooks against you, he will always fail.
● When you win the battle in heaven, you are entitled to win it on earth.
● Remember; your kingdom come, your will be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. ( Matthew 6:10 ) Receive the grace
● The outcome of the battle of Joshua was dependent on the hands of Moses on the hill. When they were up, Joshua was winning. When they were down, Joshua was losing. (Exodus 17:10-15)
● Receive the grace for your hands to remain up for you to overcome.
Thirdly, The devil was cast out: meaning thrown down, forced down violently on the earth.
PART 3 : SECOND MINDSET : MINDSET OF SUPERIORITY
● You need to have in you the mindset of superiority. The far above mentality.
● In Luke 10:18-19, Jesus says unto his disciples, "I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. [19] Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you".
Important facts from the text.
1. You are above the devil.
● Far above means … In a higher place; higher than him; on or over the upper surface;
- You need to have that above mentality.
● Ephesians 2:6 God hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
- We are sitted with Christ far above. That is our position in Christ.
Above what? Read ...
● Ephesians 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- No matter the name, we are above.
● In history we have some names in this world that tried to fight the church. Where are they? You know what? Christ is still mentioned until today.
2. You have power
- May you never live as a powerless believer.
● I wonder what our problem is, we are living like beggars. We have power!
Where is it coming from? Jesus says I give you power ( Luke 10:19 )
Power to do what?
Power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all power of the enemy.
● We have power.
No matter the intimidation of the devil, we have power. We don't have to challenge the political power. That's an order of God. The power the church has goes beyond the political power. Politicians have no power over demons unless thery are in Christ.
● To tread means the devil is below you.The place where the devil belongs is under your feet.
● Don't give a place in your heart, in your mind, in your finances ... he belongs under your feet.
3. No devil can hurt you
● As long as you remain above, (that is the condition) no devil can hurt you. Unless you allow him to pull you down.
● Friend, don't allow anybody to pull you down. That's why you see there are people who come to provoke you so that they cam pull you down. They want you to fight them or follow them.
● I am above. I don't need to follow you. You criticize, it's okay, you leave it's okay. It's your free will. Your free will is guaranteed by the constitution.
● Receive the grace to never allow anybody to pull you down.
● Maybe you are there, you have fallen. There is a word for you in Isaiah 52:2
● Isa 52:2 Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.
- Maybe you have fallen, you can arise
● Mic 7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.
● The same way Jesus saw the downfall of the enemy, the same way, you will see the downfall of the enemy in your life in the Name Of Jesus Christ.
● The same way Jesus saw the downfall of the enemy, the same way, the enemy will not see your downfall in the Name Of Jesus Christ ( Rev 12:7 )
CHAPTER 2 : THE MINDSET OF CHRIST
● You need to have that mindset in you. Remember the Bible talks about the mindset of Christ.
● Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
● 1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
What is the mind of Christ?
1. The mindset of Christ is THE MINDSET OF DOMINION
2. The mind of Christ is THE MIND OF INVINCIBILITY
3. The mind of Christ is THE MIND OF SUPERIORITY
● Superiority over the devil and his demons, sicknesses and diseases and all the circumstances of life..
● Jesus says, I am from above.
Joh 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
CHAPTER 3: PROCLAIM YOUR SUPERIORITY IN CHRIST
Father, in the Name Of Jesus Christ, thank you because …
● “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper” ( Isaiah 54:17 )
● "The battle is not yours, but God's." ( 2 Chronicles 20:15 )
● "The very hairs of your head are all numbered and not a hair on your head will be lost." ( Luke 12:7/ 21:18 )
● "You who are in me are greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 )
● “My enemies shall come out against me one way and the Lord will cause them flee before me seven ways.” ( Deuteronomy 28:7 )
● "They shall fight against me; but they shall not prevail against thee" ( Jeremiah 1:19 / Matthew 16:18 )
● I will see the downfall of the enemy in my life. He will not see the downfall of my life. ( Rev 12:7 )
● I shall arise. I shall prevail. I shall overcome. ( Micah 7:8 )
● Any craftiness of the enemy against me will be exposed.
● No devil will hurt me ( Luke 10:18-19 )
● My feet are anointed to crush the enemy. ( 1 John 4:4 )
● You will turn every adversity into victory and will grant me a successful ending of any struggles or contests. ( 2 Cor 2:14 )
● The evil plan of men against me will never hinder the fulfillment of your good plan for me. ( Rev 12:4-5 )
