I AM NOT A GRASSHOPPER | MINDSET FOR UNCOMMON ADVANCEMENT | DAY 23/40 | TUESDAY 21-02-2023
KEY STATEMENT | You cannot advance positively in life or in anything in life if you have a wrong perception of yourself and of others.
IS THERE A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-PERCEPTION AND UNCOMMON ADVANCEMENT?
- Yes. There is. A man with a wrong/poor self image will never advance in life father that his state of mind.
Look at the beggars in town here in Kenya. The size of the cup they use to collect the money is the reflection of the size of their mindset. And what do people drop in those cups? Coins.
- That is why I say this ... A wrong/poor image of self is the major reason why people stagnate and do not advance in life.
- Let us have a look at the 4 lepers at the gate of Samaria. They were lepers, yet were giants. They were an army. They were physically sick and weak.
But the day they changed their selp-perception is the day they experienced uncommon advancement. Don't forget, revelation is the beginning of revolution.
2 Ki 7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
- Do not see yourself the way you look now or the way people look at you.
- If the lepers could have seen themselves as lepers, they could have never moved toward the camp. Knowing that leprosy is a highly contagious sickness. As per the law they were supposed to remain outside the city, far from the people.
- Write it down ... YOU CANNOT ADVANCE IN LIFE BEYOND THE LEVEL OF YOUR SELF-PERCEPTION.
- 2 Kings 7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?
- 2 Kings 7:6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.
- Fight the real enemy inside and the enemy outside will flee on its own.
1- The Syrians (those who appeared mighty, powerful, great ...) ran away by themselves without anybody fighting/pursuing them.
2- How you see yourself affects how you walk. And how you walk affects your surrounding in the spiritual realm.
The Lord made a supernatural noise in the realm of the spirit.
- Contrary to the lepers, the children of Israel saw themselves as grasshoppers and the result was 40 years of stagnation in the desert.
- Numbers 13:33 "And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
- Numbers 14:28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
- Stop magnifying adversities. Stop magnifying problems. No matter how huge the adversity is, magnify the Lord.
- Never underestimate yourself. Never belittle yourself. Never look down on yourself.
1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- Look at things from the heavenly perspective.
Psalm 2:4 King James Version (KJV) He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision.
- Stop comparing yourself with others who look higher and bigger than you. Life is in phases. Men are in sizes.
- Compare yourself with what God has promised to do for you, not with the size or the height of any obstacle in front of you.
- See. The 4 lepers won the battle within and advanced. The 10 spies failed and got stuck in the desert for 40 years
- Unstuck yourself today for you to start advancing in your life.
- KEY 1 | In the process of breaking stagnation and awakening the giant within you, you have to reach the point whereby you can say like the lepers ‘Enough is Enough.
- Make yourself uncomfortable.
- Remember. Comfort brings stagnation. Discomfort brings transformation.
- Before a baby comes out of the mother's womb, it starts by making the mother uncomfortable.
- KEY 2 | Why am I sitting here until I die?’

*"WHY" QUESTIONS, WISE STEPS AND WISE ACTIONS*
- The "why" question is crucial for breaking stagnation and awakening of giants.
- It is a question that helps not only to check the cause of what is happening but also to draw your attention over an unwanted situation so that appropriate actions can be taken to implement the change you desire.
For example, as you face your current situation, you may ask yourself :
Why do I seem not to be making progress?
Why am I poor? Why are things tight for me?
Why am I always in trouble?
Why can’t I achieve like my colleagues who are genuinely doing well not thieves and corrupters?
Why is the ministry not moving forward?
Why is my marriage what it is?
If you are separated or divorced, why am I separated or divorced?
Why am I not making progress in my academics?
Why is my business stagnating or stagnated?
Why am I not married?
Why am I not pregnant?
Why is my wife not pregnant?
Why can’t I keep my job?
Why do I have sleepless nights?
Why can’t I push my ideas through?
Why is the nation in famine?
Why this, why that?
Why can’t we change our destiny?
Why can’t we take a bold step of faith, of adventure to success?
Why am I living in the fear of the unknown?
*WHAT TO DO ?*
Even you today, do not wait for change to just happen.
Take an action of faith. Arise and Move by faith. Not foolish Faith, but intelligent faith.
- They made a move of faith to the camp of the Syrians. It was a dangerous move. It was risky. There was death behind, around and ahead, but they choose to GO AHEAD/FORWARD/
- 2 Kings 7:4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
- As they were moving, the Lord broke the siege of the Syrians by supernaturally turning their footsteps into a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, [even] the noise of a great host causing the Syrians to flee.
2 Kings 7:5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, [there was] no man there.
*CONCLUSION*
In this season, I believe that the moment the fire of God stirs up holy anger in you over your situation and you pray with spiritual violence, every yoke of stagnation will be broken.
*PRAYER GUIDELINES*
Today, as you arise from that statu quo and take the step of faith, I see your enemies who hold back illegally your wealth releasing it back to you in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Today, God is commanding you to arise to possess your God ordained possession. In the Name of Jesus Christ, no one will take it away from you because it is for you. ARISE TODAY AND TAKE IT !

FATHER, CAUSE SOMEONE TO WAKE UP FROM SLEEP AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO ADVANCE IN HIS LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
DECLARE AND PRAY ___________________
FATHER, BREAK IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST THE POWERS OF DARKNESS THAT DECEIVE YOUR PEOPLE AND KEEP THEM STAGNATING IN LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
DECLARE AND PRAY ___________________
SO SHALL IT BE!
