THE AGAPE PILLAR

What is Agape love?

1. Agape Love is unconditional, sacrificial love and Biblically refers to a love that God is (1Jn 4:8,16), that God shows (Jn 3:16, 1Jn 4:9) and that God gives, as a manifestation of His Spirit's bearing fruit in the heart of a yielded saint (Gal 5:22).

• God is not only love, but shows love. John 3:16, 1 John 4:9

• God's manifestation of His Spirit is bearing fruit in the heart of a yielded saint. Gal 5:22

- Love of choice

- Love of serving with humility.

- Love of the highest kind.

- Love that's not motivated by superficial appearance, emotional attraction or sentiment 

- Love that's a noble kind of devotion.

• One's weakness  is an opportunity to prove your love for them: - Agape love binding two in a marriage is what keeps them, no matter the situation. Rom 8:38-39

• The Eros love is what will attract a man and a woman, but this is not long lasting. Agape is what will keep the relationship.

2. Agape Love is  the love of the will (intentional, a conscious choice) and not motivated by superficial appearance, emotional attraction, or sentimental relationship.

3. Agape love: it is not based on pleasant emotions or good feelings resulting from an attraction. It is a choice, an act of self sacrifice to serve the recipient. True agape love is the mark of salvation.

4. Agape love Refers to the flaming Love Of God burning all the way from the throne of God to the altar of the church and to the heart of the believer.

 Song of Solomon 8:6

- When Agape love is in the heart, it shall never go out. 

The fire keeps burning regardless of the situation. Lev 6:13

It is only at the altar that the fire of love shall keep burning. The altar must be kept on fire.

That's why the series of teaching for the month of April 2022 will be captioned FIRE MUST CONTINUE TO BURN AT THE ALTAR
