"WINNING THE BATTLE AGAINST DOUBT"
Where does doubt come from?
*Doubt* comes when you try TO FIGURE OUT HOW GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO. *Doubt* comes when you start questionning the reliability of God. *Doubt* comes when you become uncertain and undetermined. *Doubt* comes when you become hesitant. *Doubt* comes when you become unseettled over a specific matter.
Behind any *Doubt*, there is always a voice. There is always a questioning voice. The most satanic question generating doubt is in Genesis 3:1. "Did God really say?" The other one is in 2 Kings 7:2 "Could this happen?" The other is in Psalm 78:20, "Can God do...?"
What are the dangers of doubt?
1st danger : To *Doubt* God is to lack trust in God. To lack trust in God is to insult God. To insult God is to disrespect God. To disrespect God is to mock God. To mock God is to tell God, "You are not reliable. You are a liar".
Galatians 6:7 "Be not deceived; God is not mocked ..."
2nd danger : As a matter of fact, *doubting* God angers God as we can read in Psalms 78:21 "When the LORD heard this, *he became furious*. His fire burned against Jacob and his anger flared up at Israel"
3rd danger : Doubting God hiinders answer to your prayer.
James 1:7 A person who has doubts shouldn’t expect to receive anything from the Lord.
4th danger : The moment Peter started doubting is the moment he started sinking. Which means that when doubt comes, you start sinking into depression, evil thoughts, you become suspicious, you suspect the pastor, you suspect the church, you suspect the things of God ....
WHAT TO DO TO WIN THE BATTLE OVER DOUBT?
1. When Peter started sinking, he cried for help. When doubt knocks at the door of your heart, cry for help.
CONCLUSION AND PRAYER
Repent for your doubts. Cry to the Lord for help!
Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.2. Doubt comes from the voice of the enemy you give your ear to. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word. (Romans 10:17)
CONCLUSION AND PRAYER
Repent for your doubts. Cry to the Lord for help!
SO SHALL IT BE
JESUS IS LORD
