CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK ... BABY OR MATURE?

SUNDAY 10 JUNE 2018
ARE YOU GROWING OR ARE YOU STILL A BABY?

I wish you a blessed week in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This week, I pray that it will be a week whereby we will challenge ourselves and ask ourselves those questions :

AM I GROWING? AM I MATURING IN MY SPIRITUAL LIFE OR AM I STILL A BABY?

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IMMATURE

1) The immature cannot handle the truth. He gets angry, upset, makes you his enemy and withdraws himself from you when you tell him/her the truth.
Galatians 4:16 "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

2) The immature is jealous and bitter and cannot handle others' greatness and success.
1 Samuel 18: 8 "And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed [but] thousands: and [what] can he have more but the kingdom?"

3) The immature is poor in the management of the resources at its disposal. He is essentially characterized by waste.
Luke 15:14 "He had nothing left when a severe famine spread throughout that country. He had nothing to live on."

4) The immature has a narrow and short vision of life. All he can see is now and here.
Hebrews 5:13 "For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe."

5) The immature is a chronic complainer and a professional murmurer. He cries, complains and murmurs over everything. He talks more problems than solutions.
Jude 1:16 "These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words], having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage."

6) The immature believes that he has only rights not responsibilities. He is a highly bloodsucking and emotion draining person.
Proverbs 30:15 "The bloodsucking leech has two daughters--"Give!" and "Give!" Three things are never satisfied. Four never say, "Enough!":"

7) The immature does not have control over his feelings, his emotions, his temperament and the satisfaction of his needs.
Proverbs 25:28 He that [hath] no rule over his own spirit [is like] a city [that is] broken down, [and] without walls.

8) The immature wants the product not the process. He wants the result not the price. He wants success not work. He wants to receive not to give.
Matthew 25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

SO SHALL IT BE!
