THE EAST WIND
Every major move of God in history is precedent by the move of a wind.
Everytime before God moves, there is always a prophetic wind that blows. Everytime before a great move of God, there is always a wind that blows.
In Acts 2:1-2, the Bible says, "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting."
There are 4 winds of God represented by the North, South, East and West Wind. They represent the four major ministries of the Holy Spirit on the earth.
Today we will be looking at the East Wind.
THE EAST WIND SYMBOLISES THE DELIVERANCE AND JUDGEMENT MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ON THE EARTH
In one hand, the East Wind is usually very strong, hot and dry.(Genesis 41:6, 41:23-27). The east wind is very fierce (Isaiah 27:8, Job 38:24). The east wind destroys (Psalm 48:7, Ezekiel 27:26). The east wind scatters, and sweep out (Job 15:2, 27:21, Jonah 4:8, Jeremiah 18:17). In Ezekiel 17:10, 19:12, we read how a strong tall vine was uprooted and stripped off its fruit by the dry east wind. In Exodus 10:13, the bible reveals that it was the east wind that Moses commanded to bring destructive locust upon Egypt.
In another hand, the east wind was what God raised to part the waters of the red sea. (Exodus 14:21)
APPLICATION
Unless the East wind blows, the devil and his agents will remain undisturbed. They will operate as if their wrong was right. They will continue to oppress others.
All the manifestations of evil works in the land (evil altars, corruption, witchcraft, immorality, addiction, drunkenness, poverty, diseases, false teachings, fake ministers of the Gospel,...) can only be dealt with by the East Wind.
The east wind symbolizes deliverance. It is by his influence that the people of Israel were delivered out of Egypt. Therefore, having come out of the world represented by Egypt, we need the Lord to blow the east wind over us.
