DIVINE HELP ... DAY 4 ... THERE IS NO LIMIT TO GOD'S POWER

THURSDAY 03 MAY 2018
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO GOD'S POWER

INTRODUCTION

Moses in the desert faced a huge challenge to feed 3 millions men, women and children on their way to the promise land.

In Numbers 11:21-22 Moses expresses his concern to God saying,
"Here I am with 600,000 foot soldiers around me. Yet, you say, ‘I will give them meat to eat for a whole month!’ Would they have enough if all the flocks and herds were butchered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?"
In Numbers 11:23 The LORD answeers Moses saying, "Is there a limit to the LORD’S power? Now you will see whether or not my words come true."

Can you imagine? How can you feed such number in the desert? without money? without food? without supermarket? without resources?

LOGISTICS OF THE EXODUS

To help you understand how humanly impossible to handle this challenge was, I came accross a document describing the logistics needed to sustain Israel in the desert for 40 days. It says this :

"The people needed 2,000 tons -- four million pounds (5,462,740.00 US Dollar)-- of food each day. To bring that much food each day, would require three freight trains each a mile long!

In the desert they needed firewood to cook and keep warm. Each day this would take 4,000 tons -- eight million pounds (10,927,800.00 US Dollar-- of wood and a few more freight trains, each a mile long.

Of course, they needed water. If they only had enough to drink and wash a few dishes, it would take 11 million gallons (41,639,529.624 Liters) each dacesy, and a freight train with tank cars 1,800 miles long (2896.819 Km), just to bring water!

And then another thing: They had to get across the Red Sea in one night. If they went on a narrow path, double file, the line would be 800 miles  (2896.819 Km) long and would require 35 days and nights to get through.

So, there had to be an opening in the Red Sea 3 miles (4.8 Kmwide so that they could walk 5,000 abreast to get over in one night.

Each time they camped at the end of the day, they needed a campground two-thirds the size of the State of Rhode Island, about 750 square miles. They journeyed in the desert forty years."

CONCLUSION

Do you think Moses worked all this out before he left Egypt? No. Moses relied on the helping hand of God and God provided everything without fail every day for 40 years.

Do you think God can't handle your financial problems ? Do you think your bills are so huge they cannot be cleared? Do you think the challenge you are facing is so big that God cannot handle?

The LORD is telling you today the same way he answered Moses saying, "There is no limit to my power? Now you will see whether or not my words come true."
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
