NO MORE EXCUSES ... DAY 3 ... TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

MONDAY 23 APRIL 2018
TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

1) When you have committed sin, don't make excuses by accusing others or the circumstances but take responsibility by repenting. Then, you will be forgiven and free.

Proverbs 28:13 "He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy."

2) When you have wronged someone (spouse, colleague,...), don't make excuses but take responsibility of your mistakes by saying sorry. Reconciliation is more important than your explanations.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

3) When you are rebuked about a bad habit or a bad behaviour, don't be proud by making excuses but take responsibility by receiving humbly the rebuke and allowing yourself to change.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

4) When you have failed, don't try to make excuses by looking for who to blame. Take responsibility. Admit it. Learn from it. Try again. Do better.

Luke 5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.

5) Don't look for excuses to get out of your marriage by yourself. Take responsibility by submitting not to your feelings and emotions but to the authority of  the Word. Allow yourself to be taught by your pastor and let God show you the way forward.

Matthew 5:32, NIV. "But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to commit adultery, and anyone who marries a woman so divorced commits adultery."

6) When God instructs you, he expects obedience not excuses.

1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord ? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

7) When you are weak in a specific area (prayer, reading of the Bible, commitment to spiritual endeavours, sexual, financial, ...), don't make excuses. Take responsibility by working things out. Talk to your pastor. Ask for advice, guidance and prayer. Partner with someone who is stronger than you in that specific area and work to become stronger.

Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
