THE POWER OF THE HAND OF JESUS

Beloved, today we will study the hand of Jesus and we will call upon the Lord to stretch forth his hand so that any situation condemning us will come to an end and that a new page of our lives will be rewritten as it was for this leper. 

WHAT IS IN THE HAND OF JESUS ?

👉THE CLEANSING HAND : Jesus touched the leper and healed him

Matthew 8:3 And Jesus put forth [his] hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

👉 THE HEALING HAND : Jesus touched Peter's mother in law and healed her from fever.

Matthew 8:15 And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

👉 THE RESURRECTING HAND : Jesus took one young maid dead by the hand  and immediately, she came back to life.

Matthew 9:25 But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

Mark 5:41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

👉 THE UPLIFTIING HAND : When Peter was sinking, he cried to Jesus for help. Jesus stretched forth his hand and rescued him.

Matthew 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

👉 THE EYE-OPENING HAND : Blind men recovered their sight after Jesus put his hands on their eyes.

Matthew 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

Matthew 20:34 So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Mark 8:23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

👉 THE PATTERN-STOPPING HAND : One dead man was about to be buried. Jesus touched the bier and brought him back to life.

Luke 7:14 And He came and touched the bier, and those who bore him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say unto thee, arise."

👉 THE CREATIVE HAND : One man whose ear was cut by Peter recovered it after Jesus touched him.

Luke 22:51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

👉 THE EAR-OPENING HAND : He put his fingers into the ears of the mute and heals him.

Mark 7:33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

👉 THE HAND OF MULTIPLICATION : Five loaves and two fishes put into Jesus' hands multiplied exceedingly to feed more than 5000 people. 

John 6:11 And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

… 6 PRAYERS FOR JESUS' TOUCH …

PRAYER 1/ It has taken the hand of God to force the Pharaoh to release the people of Israel from their bondage.

Let us pray that the hand of God forces the Pharaoh to let go of all that is ours and he holds illegally.

👉 My God and my Father, I pray you stretch your mighty and powerful hand to force the Pharaohs to release right now our loved ones, our finances, our family members kept in bondage in Jesus’ name!

Exodus 3:19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.

Exodus 6:1 Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

PRAYER 2/ The hand of God was so strong and mighty that even the magicians of Egypt saw it and confessed it “This is the finger of God”


Let us pray that the hand of God in our lives will be visible and manifest even in the sight of all the sorcerers and agents of darkness who surround us.

👉 My God and my Father, let your hand upon my life, my ministry, my family, my business be so manifest and evident that the witches, sorcerers and wizards bow before you and declare undoubtedly “THIS IS THE FINGER OF GOD !”

PRAYER 3/ It has taken the hand of God to bring Jesus Christ out of the grave and to lift Him in heaven at the right hand of the Father.

Let us pray that the same hand resurrects all that is dead in our lives.

👉My God and my Father, I pray that the same hand that brought Christ out of the grave and lifted Him up to heaven might do the same in those who are in the grave of hopelessness, helplessness, bitterness, poverty, sickness, misery, debts and various issues.

Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

PRAYER 4/ From Scriptures, the hand of God is not short but can be shortened because of sin in the heart of men.

Let us pray and repent of all that we know to be sin.

👉Father, have mercy on me and forgive me my sins that shorten your hands over my life.

Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

PRAYER 5/ From Scriptures, the hand of God can be stretched. It can also be upon someone. When it is stretched, signs and wonders always follow and take place : healing, protection, provision, promotion, deliverance from pits, …  

Let us pray that the hand of God will work signs and wonders in our lives.

👉 My God and my Father, stretch your hand today to heal the sick, to provide to the need of your people, to promote your children, to deliver those who are in pits. Let signs and wonders be our portion as your hand is upon us and is stretched toward us.

Acts 4:30 “Lord, stretch forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus".

PRAYER 6/ From Scriptures, the hand of God is stretched only upon the humble

Let us pray that the Lord will produce humility in our hearts that will secure his hand in our lives.

👉 My Father, I pray for humility in my heart. Keep me away from any conscious or unconscious pride in the name of Jesus Christ !

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
