WHO IS JESUS CHRIST ? ... DAY 13 ... JESUS CHRIST, THE AGAPE MADE FLESH

WEDNESDAY 14.02.2018
DAY 13
JESUS CHRIST, THE AGAPE MADE FLESH

The world says love is about how someone makes them feel or how they feel about someone else but God says love goes beyond how you feel or how others make you feel.

Love is about  how truthful, how responsible, how serious, how committed, how genuine, how selfless you are in your relationship with others no matter how you feel or how they make you feel.

Defining love on the basis of how someone makes you feel is the biggest trap in which most people find themselves in today in the world. A man/woman can make a woman/woman feel good, respected, honored, valuable by showering him/her with compliments just for a moment with the ultimate purpose of getting what he/she wants. After getting what they want, they throw you away in the dustbin and go to another.

That is not love but no more no less than witchcraft defined as an intentional manipulation of someone's feeling with the purpose of getting whatever you want.

YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF WHO YOU ARE SO THAT YOU WON'T NEED SOMEONE TO MAKE YOU EEL WHO YOU ALREADY ARE.

4 KIND OF LOVE

The ancient Greeks had four different words we could translate love. It is important to understand the difference between the words to avoid confusion.

i. Eros was one word for love. It described, as we might guess from the word itself, erotic love. It refers to sexual love.

ii. Storge was the second word for love. It refers to family love, the kind of love there is between a parent and child, or between family members in general.

iii. Philia is the third word for love. It speaks of a brotherly friendship and affection. It is the love of deep friendship and partnership. It might be described as the highest love of which man, without God’s help, is capable of.

iv. Agape is the fourth word for love.

JESUS CHRIST, THE AGAPE MADE FLESH

a) Agape is more than a simple word. Agape is a person, i.e. a lifestyle.

Agape is Jesus Christ the Word of God made flesh.

b) Agape is more than a boiling feeling which makes one loving only the lovable. Agape is commitment

Agape is God himself who so loved the unlovable that he gave his only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the unlovable.

c) Agape is more than a simple intention. Agape is compassion in action.

Jesus Christ is the Agape who demonstrated his compassion toward men by caring for their welfare.

d) Agape is more than a simple emotion. Agape is responsibility.

Jesus Christ is the Agape who gives and loves because he wants to without expecting repayment from the love given.

CONCLUSION and PRAYERS

NOTE 1 : A man can give only what he has. Do not expect someone who does not have love to give you love. To have love is to have Jesus in the heart.

🙏 ACTS 3:6

NOTE 2 : Feelings come and go. Commitment starts, continues and remains. Feelings are the sand. Commitment is the rock. Woe to you if you build on the foundation of your feelings because when storm will come your building will collapse.

🙏 Matthew 7:24-27

NOTE 3 : It is not about how one talks. It is about how one walks. It is not about how good and sweet the intentions are. It is about how caring and loving the actions are.

🙏 1 Jean 3:18

NOTE 4 : Love is not something you make. Love is the divine power that makes you. Love is not something you fall in. Love is the divine power you walk in.

🙏 *Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love*, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

SO SHALL IT BE
