LET THE CYCLE OF AFFLICTION STOP!

SCRIPTURE : Luke 7:11-17

KEY STATEMENT

The text we are reading today mentions a widow who was about to bury her only son. For the first time affliction struck her family by the death of her husband. For the second time affliction strikes her family again by the death of her only son. When the Lord and Master of life appears, he stops the cycle of affliction in that woman's family by bringing her only son back to life.

Before she reaches the grave, 5 things happened to her :

☛Jesus showed up,
☛Jesus stopped the crowd heading to the grave,
☛Jesus touched the bier to reverse the curse and stop the pattern of death,
☛Jesus spoke to the dead to establish life and blessing the curse, and
☛Jesus gave her back her son.

TODAY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST,

a) THE SAME WAY JESUS APPEARED TO THE WOMAN TO REVERSE THE CURSE OF DEATH, THE SAME WAY JESUS IS REACHING OUT TO YOU TO STOP, TO REVERSE THE CURSE AND TO ESTABLISH THE BLESSING IN YOUR LIFE !

b) WHOEVER IS NEXT IN LINE TO UNTIMELY DEATH, JESUS SHOWS UP TO CANCEL THE BURIAL PLAN AND SET YOU AND YOURS FREE !

c) ANY ATTACK AGAINST YOUR POSTERITY IS AVERTED AND THE BLESSING ESTABLISHED !

II. KEYS TO STOP EVIL AND UNWANTED PATTERN

The Bible says in Nahum 1:9 "Affliction shall not rise again the second time".

Where did the curse begin? In a Garden, at a tree, with man eating the fruit, before hiding his nakedness. (Genesis 2-3)

Where was the curse reversed? On the cross, with Jesus, dying and shedding his precious blood as it is written in Galatians 3:13,

"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree"

THIS TEXT REVEALS UNTO US 3 VITAL KEYS TO UNLOCK AND BREAK THE CYCLE OF EVIL PATTERN IN OUR LIVES :

1st key : POSITION YOURSELF PROPERLY AS A DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST.

As a disciple of Christ, you are in Christ. And because you are in Christ, you are free from any curse and are blessed for ever.
2nd key : POSITION YOURSELF PROPERLY IN THE PERFECT WILL OF GOD FOR YOU

The perfect will of God for you is the original mindset of God both in redemption and in creation.

3rd key : PROPHESY YOUR BLESSING TO STOP THE CYCLE OF DEATH

From Scriptures, "life and death are in the power of the mouth"

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I confess that I am free from any curse (spoken, unspoken or generational).

Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that hangeth on a tree:

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I confess that by redemption, I am an heir of Abraham’s blessing.

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that I am set for a destiny high above all nations of earth !!!

Deuteronomy 28:1 "… the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth; Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath,…

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that I am blessed in the city, in my workplace, in my house and everywhere I will be !!!

Deuteronomy 28:3 "Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Deuteronomy 28:6 You will be blessed when you come and blessed when you go.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that I am blessed with fruitfulness, abundance and plenteousness in my body, in my mind, in my spirit, in my field, in my farm, in my finances, in my health !!!

Deuteronomy 28:4-5 You will be blessed. You will have children. Your land will have crops. Your animals will have offspring. Your cattle will have calves, and your flocks will have lambs and kids. The grain you harvest and the bread you bake will be blessed.

Deuteronomy 28:11 The LORD will give you plenty of blessings: You will have many children. Your animals will have many offspring. Your soil will produce many crops in the land the LORD will give you, as he swore to your ancestors.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that all my enemies are defeated and will never have victory over me !!!

Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction but run away from you in seven directions.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that all earth shall see that I am really and effectively blessed !!!

Deuteronomy 28:10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of thee.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I declare from the Word that my heaven above my head is opened and that rain will never fail to fall upon my field. Consequently, I declare that I will never be lazy. I will never beg. I will never borrow IN JESUS NAME !!!

Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee His good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand; and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

SO SHALL IT BE!

JESUS IS LORD!
