PRAYERS OF CONQUEST 2018 ... DAY 6 ..."NO MORE IN THE WAYSIDE"

TUESDAY 16.01.2018
DAY  6
"NO MORE IN THE WAYSIDE"

READINGS : Matthew 20: 29-34; Mark 10: 46-52; Luke 18: 35-43

Reading the story of Bartimaeus' miracle of healing, there are two states diametrically opposed. When he was blind, the Bible said that he was begging and was sitting by the roadside. We read that in Mark 10:46
"And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging."

When he received his miracle and recovered his sight, the Bible said he left the side of the road and followed Jesus in the path.

We read this in Mark 10:53
"And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way."

Like BARTIMAEUS,

- I pray the Lord that someone LEAVES THE WAYSIDE and ENTERS IN THE WAY. I pray that someone MOVES OUT OF BLINDNESS and RECOVER HIS SIGHT.

- I pray the Lord that someone stop being an observer of others' progress and become an actor of his own progress

- I pray that someone leaves the wayside which is a place where the devil steals the seed of the Word from the heart and leaves one empty and barren.

- I pray that someone stops watching others going ahead while he/she stays in the same place.

- I pray that someone will move from the state of begging to  the state of prosperity.

- I pray that someone will stop being voiceless and start being a voice that will be heard in the land.

WHAT TO DO?

From this text, Bartimaeus teaches us 4 helpful lessons to move from thewayside to the way and to break the humiliating cycle of begging:

Lesson 1 BARTIMAEUS KNEW THAT IT WAS HIS TIME OF VISITATION. HE GOT HEALED THE LAST TIME JESUS WAS PASSING BY JERICHO HEADING TO GOLGOTHA.

In fact, it was the last time Jesus was passing by Jericho because the following week was his week of crucifixion. It was at that exact time that Bartimaeus cried to Jesus for his healing. Despite the opposition of some people in the crowd, he cried the more until Jesus stopped and healed him.

IF ONLY HE COULD HAVE PROCRASTINATED OR POSTPONED BECAUSE OF THE CROWD, HE WOULD HAVE REMAINED BLIND FOR EVER.

What is the difference between procrastination and postponement?

• PROCRASTINATION is putting off a task when all of the needed resources are available

• POSTPONEMENT is waiting until adequate resources are available before moving forward.

➽➽ ➽➽ I PRAY TODAY THAT THE LORD WILL GIVE YOU THE UNDERSTANDING OF TIME AND SEASONS SO THAT YOU WILL MAKE FULL PROFIT OF DIVINE OPPORTUNITIES  IN YOUR LIFE IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST !!!

The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 11:4,
“He who observes the wind [and waits for all conditions to be favorable] will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap." AMP
The Bible says again in 1 Chronicles 12:32,
"And of the children of Issachar, [which were men] that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them [were] two hundred; and all their brethren [were] at their commandment."
LESSON 2 : BARTIMAEUS KNEW TO BE PERSISTENT TO STOP THE MASTER AND DRAW HIS ATTENTION TO HIM.

What does it mean "to be persistent ?"

To be persistent means to be “until” minded, “until” oriented and “until” purposed.

To be persistent is the quality that allows someone to continue doing something or trying to do something even though it is difficult or opposed by other people.

Bartimaeus was crying to the Master for healing. People stopped him but he cried the more until the Master stopped to settle his case.

They were many in the crowd but Jesus stopped only for Bartimaeus not because his case was more special than others but because Bartimaeus drew the Master's attention by his persistence.

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee." (Mark 10:49)

Indeed, his persistence paid because not only did he manage to stop Jesus but also he managed to turn his discouragers into encouragers.

➽➽ ➽➽ TODAY, I SILENCE ANY VOICE OF DISCOURAGEMENT IN YOUR HEART IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST !

LESSON 3 : BARTIMAEUS KNEW THAT HIS MIRACLE WAS IN HIS VOICE. THOUGH HE LOST HIS SIGHT, HE NEVER ALLOWED ANYBODY TO STEAL HIS VOICE.

Though his sight was taken away from him, Bartimaeus did not allow anyone to take away his voice. For protecting his voice, he recovered his sight.

Despite the opposition and the discouragement of the multitude, he was spiritually violent and persistent to make his voice count despite the rejection and the opposition of the crowd.

Your mouth is the ink with which you sign to appropriate the Word of God and his miracle. YOUR MIRACLE IS IN YOUR MOUTH.

➽➽ ➽➽ TODAY, RELEASE YOUR VOICE TO BE HEARD IN THE SPIRITUAL REALM AND BE CONVERTED INTO A MIRACLE IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST !

LESSON 4 : BARTIMAEUS KNEW TO BE SPECIFIC IN HIS PRAYER

Before Jesus answers Bartimaeus’ prayer, he asked him a question, “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51).

Why this question? Jesus was asking this question so to entitle Bartimaeus to specific answer.

There is a call from heaven of being specific at our prayer altar because until our prayer is specific we cannot know whether it is answered or not.

What does it mean to be specific in prayer?

To be specific means to define clearly your request to the Lord. It means also to be detailed and exact in your prayer

➽➽ ➽➽ TODAY, I PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL TAKE AWAY ANY CONFUSION FROM YOUR HEART SO THAT YOU WILL BE SPECIFIC IN YOUR PRAYER IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST !

PRAYER = PRAYER = PRAYER

PRAYER 1 PRAY FOR THE UNDERSTANDING OF TIMES AND SEASONS ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF THE SONS OF ISSACHAR
Father, I ask the Spirit of Truth to lead and guide me with discernment every step of the way so that I become like the children of Issachar who were able to understand the times and to know what to do.
Read and pray with 1 Chronicles 12:32
➽➽ ➽➽

PRAYER 2 PRAY FOR SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY
Father, the same way Bartimaeus heard that Jesus was passing by and  sensed in his spirit that it was his time of visitation, the same way I ask you to help me to be spiritually sensitive so that I may know ny time and make the most of it in the name of Jesus Christ
Read and pray with Luke 19:44

PRAYER 3 PRAY TO SAY NO TO THE BEGGING MENTALITY AND LIFESTYLE
Father, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I confess that I will never beg bread, food, money, clothe or water because you are too faithful to forsake me and abandon me.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I confess that I will not live on the earth as a forsaken man / woman because on the cross, Jesus Christ was forsaken so that I can be remembered.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, I confess that your blessing over my life will affect not only my generation but also generations after me so that none of my sons and daughters will ever live as a beggar.
Read and pray with Acts 20:35; Psalms 37:25; Psalms 59:15
