AWAKEN THE GIANT WITHIN ... THE POWER OF HABIT ...

TUESDAY 02 JANUARY 2018
... THE POWER OF HABIT ...

A wise man said “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”

Someone else defines life as nothing more than the sum total of many successful years; a successful year as nothing more than the sum total of many successful months; a successful month as nothing more than the sum total of many successful weeks; a successful week as nothing more than the sum total of many successful days.

One billionaire says, 'I arrive at my office at seven a.m. It is a habit.' A best-selling author says, 'I get up at the same time every day. I start writing at eight a.m. and quit at four each afternoon. I do it every day. It is a habit.' J

Successful people have successful habits, unsuccessful people don't.

God himself has also habits
Psalms 119:132 Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

Jesus also had habits built since his childhood

Mark 10:1 And rising up thence he comes into the coasts of Judaea, and the other side of the Jordan. And again crowds come together to him, and, as he was accustomed, again he taught them.
Luke 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.
Luke 4:16 KJV 'And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His [habit] was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day...'
Luke 22:39 And going forth he went according to his custom to the mount of Olives, and the disciples also followed him.

Daniel had habits of praying three times a day. His prayer life was so predictable that his enemies used it to trap him.
'...Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed...' Daniel 6:10 NIV

David had habits of praising God daily

Psalms 119:164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.

Jesus' disciples had habits

Acts 3:1 Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, [being] the ninth [hour].
Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

CONCLUSION

The individual who wants to reach the top must appreciate the might and force of habit, he must quick to break those habits that can break him, and hasten to adopt these practices that will become the habits that help him achieve the success he desires.

A dream becomes reality as the result of your action and your actions are controlled mainly by your habits

In this year 2018, the year of manifestation, take note that your success can be found in your daily routine. If you're serious about changing your life you must stop practicing bad habits and start instituting good ones : daily, weekly,
mothly, yearly.

QUESTIONS TO PONDER

When measured by the same standard, how is your prayer life?

Do you have a hour of prayer or do you pray as you wish or as it is convenient for you? (Acts 3:1)

Do you have a habit of reading and meditating the Word of God daily as recommended by God? (Joshua 1:8)

Do you have a habit of working hard ? being diligent ? of being grateful and thankful to the Lord for his doings in your life ? of honoring God with your substances ? of serving others ? of sharing ? of finishing what you start ? of keeping your word ? of sharing the Word with others ? of keeping yourself holy for the Lord?

PRAYER PRAYER PRAYER
What is your prayer?

SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
