KEY NUMBER 12THE PRESENCE OF GOD
A text from Scripture has always amazed me. It is the prayer of Moses to God.
"If thy presence go not [with me], carry us not up hence." (Exodus 33:15)
This prayer of Moses follows a personal conversation between Moses and God in which Moses the man of God desperately requests the presence of God during the long journey to the promised land. He motivates his prayer in verse 16 , saying:
"For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? [is it] not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that [are] upon the face of the earth." (Exodus 33:16)
By these words, Moses expresses not only the reasons for which he desperately desires the presence of God, but also recognizes how indispensable is the presence of God during his journey.
1) He recognizes that when God is present, his favor will also be present to accompany them throughout the journey.
2) He recognizes that when God is present, they will be distinguished and different from other peoples around.
IN 2018, LIKE MOSES, RECOGNIZE THAT YOUR TRIP WILL BE CROWNED WITH SUCCESS ONLY IF GOD IS WITH YOU. . . THEREFORE, MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, DESIRE THE PRESENCE OF GOD 24 / 7.
1) It is in his presence that you will get the divine favor you need during your trip in 2018.
What is divine favor? Divine favor is to give special regard to; to treat with goodwill; to show exceptional kindness to someone. Sometimes, it means to show extra kindness in comparison to the treatment of others; that is, preferential treatment.
Divine favor in Joseph's life was so manifest that wherever he was going, prosperity was following him like his shadow not because he was talented, but because God was with him.
Genesis 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.Genesis 39:21 But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
😔 MAY THE SAME FAVOR IN WHICH JOSEPH SWIMMED BE ALSO YOUR PORTION THROUGHOUT 2018 IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!
2) It is in his presence that you will be distinguished and different from people around you throughout your journey in 2018.
In Egypt, the difference between Israel and the people of God and Egypt was so obvious and manifest:
1- While the cattle of Egypt were dying, none of the flocks of Israel died. (Exodus 9: 4-6)
2- While the hail struck and destroyed everything in the Egyptian field, there was no hail in Goshen where Israel was. (Exodus 9: 25-26)
3- When in all the land of Egypt there was darkness, in Goshen where the people of Israel were, there was light. (Exodus 10:23)
4- While in all the land of Egypt there was mourning of firstborn, there was no death in Goshen where Israel lived. (Exodus 11: 7)
WHAT TO DO TO SECURE THE PRESENCE OF GOD IN 2018?
1. Do not pray only when you are in distress. Make prayer your lifestyle.
2. Do not just open your Bible when you are in Church. Make reading and meditating the Word of God your meal of every day.
3. Just as you can not live without air, so be addicted to divine guidance in every detail of your life.
4. God is present where two or three come together in His name. Be diligent in the fellowship with the saints .
DECLARE WITH FAITH:
😔 IN 2018, Because I am a redeemed of the Lord, while the livestock of Egypt dies, my cattle will not die in the Name of Jesus Christ!
😔 IN 2018, Because I am a redeemed of the Lord, the hail that destroys the field of the Egyptians will not destroy my field in the Name of Jesus Christ!
😔 IN 2018, Because I am a redeemed of the Lord, while darkness covers the land of Egypt, there will be light in my territory in the Name of Jesus Christ!
😔 IN 2018, Because I am a redeemed of the Lord, the plague striking the first-born of Egypt will never strike my firstborn in the Name of Jesus Christ!
SO SHALL IT BE!JESUS IS LORD!
