12 KEYS OF SUCCESS IN 2018 ... KEY NUMBER 8 ... "BE COMMITTED"

WEDNESDAY 27.12.2017
KEY NUMBER 8
"BE COMMITTED"

In the beginning of each year, people make plan of what they believe  and wish the year would be for them. Many a times we find ourselves at the end of the year frustrated and disappointed when we notice that our plan has failed to be fulfilled.

Good plan never guarantees success unless we commit ourselves unto it. No commitment, no achievement. No achievement, no success.

Starting well is not the guarantee to finishing well. Some people in the Bible and in our generation or in the generation before us started well but did not finish well not because they didn't have skills or competencies, but because they lacked commitment.

Writing to the Galatians in Galatians 3:3, Paul says,
"Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?"
From this text, Paul is teaching us that it is possible to start in the spirit but finish in the flesh if in between there is no commitment. Starting in the Spirit is great but it does not make a great christian life. Solomon started well his reign but did not finish well. Judas started as an apostle but he finished as a traitor.

It is also important to take note of the fact that God's promises are not the guarantee of the fulfilment if you are not committed to play your part of the deal. In Matthew 19:30, Jesus says,
"Many [that are] first shall be last; and the last [shall be] first."
What does Jesus mean? Jesus is teaching that to be first is not permanent and to be last is also not permanent. At any point of time, those who are first can become last and those who are last can become first. How? Commitment is the key factor.

If someone who is first takes things for granted and decreases his commitment, he will definitely find himself be the last. In the other hand, if someone who is last makes up his mind and increases his commitment, he will surely make his way to be the first.

IN 2018
  • Stop only wishing. Stop only planning. Stop only confessing. Stop only desiring. BE COMMITTED to work your way to the fulfilment of your wish, of your plan and of your confession.

  • What is your resolution and prayer for 2018?

SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
