MIRACLE 39 : JESUS' ASCENSION TO HEAVEN
READING : MARK 16:19-20; LUKE 24:50-53; ACTS 1: 4-12
Today's miracle is the miracle of ascension defined simply as the bodily taking up of Jesus into the heavens to be at the right hand of God the Father.
The miracle of ascension shows that Jesus went ahead of us :
- To prepare a place for us
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
- To report to his Father that he has completed his work of atonement
Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
- To make intercession for us because He is concerned about our interests
Romans 8:34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
- To assure us that He will return to establish the kingdom of God on the earth
Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
= THIS IS MY SEASON OF PROMOTION =
The ascension of Jesus teaches us 3 important lessons :
1st lesson : Jesus' ascension was made possible not by any human hand but by the right hand of God.
Acts 2:33 "Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear."
APPLICATION : For your promotion, you don't need any human hand. The same right hand of God who exalted Jesus Christ on high is the same right hand who will exalt you and promote you in the land of the living.
Psalms 75:6-7 For promotion [cometh] neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God [is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

2nd lesson : Jesus' ascension was granted to him from the Father as a reward to His unprecedented humility and obedience.
Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
APPLICATION : God resists the proud. Be humble and God will promote you.
1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

3rd lesson : Jesus' ascension was the Father's reward to him to take away the reproach and the shame of his rejection, his suffering, his affliction, his mockeries and his affliction on the cross.
Ephesians 1:20-22 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
APPLICATION : What are you going through and is causing you affliction, humiliation, shame and reproach? Is it the reproach of bareness? Is it the reproach of loneliness? Is it the reproach of joblessness? Is it the reproach of poverty and lack? Is it the reproach of rejection?
I have a good news for you. AS THE LORD LIVETH, GOD WILL TURN YOUR AFFLICTION INTO PROMOTION. GOD WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR REPROACH AND PROMOTE YOU AND YOU WILL SING A NEW SONG LIKE RACHEL AND ELISABETH ..."GOD HATH TAKEN AWAY MY REPROACH"
Genesis 30:23 And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:
Luke 1:25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND PRAYERS
PRAISE PRAYERS TO THE LORD JESUS
1. Jesus is lifted above principalities, powers, dominions, spirits. Praise Him and Lift Him !
Read and Praise with Ephesians 1 : 19-20
2. The name of Jesus is lifted above any other name (name of men, name of authorities, name of sickness, name of challenge, ... ) that can be named in the present world and in the world to come. Praise His Name and Lift His Name.
Read and Praise with Philippians 2:9
ENGAGE PRAYER FOR THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD TO BE STRETCHED
1. Father, stretch your right hand to open the womb of the barren thereby taking away the reproach of bareness.
Read and pray with Genesis 30:23/Luke 1:25
2. Father, stretch your right hand to provide job to the jobless thereby taking away the reproach of joblessness in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Read and pray with Matthew 20:1-6
3. Father, stretch your right hand to provide life partner thereby taking away the reproach of loneliness in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Read and pray with Psalms 68:6
4. Father, stretch your right hand and heal the sick in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Read and pray with Acts 4:30
5. Father, out of the dust your right hand lifts up the poor to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory. Let it be so in my life today in the Name of Jesus Christ.
