40 DAYS AT JESUS' FEET MIRACLE 37 "IN CHRIST, I HAVE A GLORIOUS DESTINY"

SUNDAY 22.10.2017
MIRACLE 37 : THE SUPERNATURAL CONCEPTION OF CHRIST
Reading : Luke 1:26-38

Today's miracle is about the supernatural conception of Jesus Christ in Mary's womb through the ministration of the angel Gabriel.

At Christmas we celebrate the undeniable, undebatable, incontestable, irrefutable and unquestionable fact that God entered the world as a man to make sinners sons, slaves kings, rejected accepted, poor rich.

From today's text, the Lord is teaching us 5 powerful lessons through the supernatural conception of Jesus Christ confirming unto us that we have a glorious destiny IN CHRIST.

LESSON 1 : IN CHRIST, GOD IS STILL AT WORK
FACT 1: Six months after Elizabeth has received the angelic visitation, now comes the time for Mary to be also visited by the same angel.
⏩⏩ Word of encouragement 1 : God is still at work. If God has visited Elisabeth before you, hold on because you are next in line.⏪⏪

LESSON 2 : IN CHRIST, GOD KNOWS WHERE YOU ARE
FACT 2: Luke provides enough details about the place where the angel encountered Mary. He says “…unto a city of Galilee named Nazareth...” (Luke 1:26).
⏩⏩ Word of encouragement 2 : Even if no one knows your address or your name, God knows it.⏪⏪

LESSON 3 : IN CHRIST, GOD KNOWS YOU BY YOUR NAME
FACT 3: Not only does Luke mention specifically the place where Mary was located, he also mentions specifically the name of Mary and of Joseph.
⏩⏩ Word of encouragement 3 : Be encouraged today that God has never forgotten you.⏪⏪
⏩⏩ Word of encouragement 4 : If Jesus who made the stars, billions of them, knows all by name, then it is reasonable to conclude that he also knows your name, my name and the names of all billion of people who occupy earth.⏪⏪

LESSON 4 : IN CHRIST, YOU ARE NOT ONLY FAVOURED BUT ALSO HIGHLY FAVOURED
FACT 4: When the angel Gabriel came to Mary, he was carrying a message from the divine counsel. He tells her 3 things:
  • You are highly favoured
  • The Lord is with you
  • Thou art blessed among women

What does it mean to be “highly favoured?”
To be “highly favoured” actually, in everyday Greek, means the favor a benefactor bestows on another with the purpose of changing their circumstances from loss to gain, from poverty to plenty, from pain to pleasure, from evil to good, from ugliness to beauty, from sorrow to joy.
⏩⏩ Word of encouragement 5 : The same way Mary was highly favoured because she was picked by God to carry Jesus Christ. You too are highly favoured because you carry the same Christ in you ⏪⏪

LESSON 5 : IN CHRIST, YOU HAVE A GLORIOUS DESTINY OF FRUITFULNESS, OF GREATNESS AND OF HIGHNESS

FACT 5 : From verse 30 to 35, the angel unveils and uncovers to Mary the beautiful things concerning her glorious destiny and the glorious destiny of her Son.
  • A destiny of supernatural fruitfulness
Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
  • A destiny of greatness
Luke 1:32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
  • A destiny of highness
Luke 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

  • A destiny of kingship and dominion
Luke 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
PRAYER = PRAYER = PRAYER

PRAYER POINT No 1 : Pray that God helps you to deal with discouragement in your heart and ask him to take it away so that you will be able to always wait on him.
Read and pray with Habakkuk 2:3 : “For the vision [is] yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

PRAYER POINT No 2 Wherever you are, whichever country you are, lift up your voice and intercede for the place where the Lord has positioned you.
Read and pray with Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

PRAYER POINT No 3 As a Christian, you are called to be the light and the salt of the place where you are located. Pray for the grace to be effectively that light and that salt who will attract multitude of men and women to the Lord.
Read and pray with Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

PRAYER POINT No 4 People may forget your name but God will never forget. Lift up your voice and pray for a personal and intimate relationship with God.
Read and pray with Isaiah 43:1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine.

PRAYER POINTS No 5 Nothing is mentioned about why and what Mary did to be highly favoured. So it was not about her efforts or deeds but about God’s grace and choice. Lift up your voice and appreciate with thanksgiving the Lord for his grace upon your life.
Read and pray with Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
PRAYER POINTS No 6 Anytime grace steps in, disgrace steps out. Pray and cry unto the Lord that his grace casts out of your life any trace of disgrace and reproach in any area of your life.
Read and pray with Luke 1:25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on [me], to take away my reproach among men.

PRAYER POINTS No 7 From Scriptures, God shows favor toward the meek…Pray and cry unto the Lord to fill you with the spirit of humility and destroy the spirit of pride so that His grace can be released fully upon your life.
Read and pray with 1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
