MIRACLE 31 : JESUS HEALS A DEMON POSSESSED GIRL
READINGS : Matthew 15:21-28; Mark 7:24-30
It’s
a story of an encounter of a gentile mother with Jesus Christ. That
Syrophoenician woman approached Jesus crying out to him to heal her daughter,
who was possessed by a demon.
From today's miracle, the Lord is teaching us 4 lessons :

LESSON 1 : Jesus is telling us today, "DON’T MISTAKE MY SILENCE FOR NOT CARING ABOUT YOUR CAUSE"
In Matthew 15:23, the Bible says,
"But [Jesus] answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
Initially,
Jesus ignored this woman when she came to him. Far from being discouraged, she kept crying after him until
the disciples suggested that Jesus would do something about it since she was
making a scene.
A WORD TO YOU TODAY : WHEN YOU PRAY AND YOU DON'T HAVE THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYER, IT IS NOT NECESSARILY BECAUSE GOD DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. AS YOU EXPECT A SUPERNATURAL TOUCH FROM JESUS CHRIST, PUT IT IN YOUR HEART AND IN YOUR MIND THAT HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE LOVING AND CARING.

LESSON 2 : Jesus is teaching us today that WHAT HE WAS SENT BY GOD FOR WAS THE ONE AND ONLY ONE THING THAT WAS DRIVING OR MOVING HIM TO DO OR NOT TO DO.
Instead of granting her request, Jesus replied to his disciples that he was only sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
In Matthew 15:24, the Bible says,
"But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Once more, the woman overcame the obstacle and persisted by changing her position by throwing herself at Jesus' feet crying out, “Lord, help me!”.
A WORD FOR YOU TODAY : WHEN YOU PRAY AND YOU DON'T HAVE THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYER, IT MIGHT NOT NECESSARILY BE BECAUSE YOU ARE WRONG. IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE HE WANTS YOU TO KNOW HIS PLAN FOR YOU SO THAT YOUR PRAYER WILL BE ALIGNED TO HIS PLAN FOR YOU.

After changing her position, finally, Jesus acknowledged her and spoke to her saying : “It is not meet to take the children’s food and give it to the dogs”.
Jesus’
use of the word ‘dogs’ sounds harsh, but the term he used was the Greek
diminutive kynaria, which meant little dogs, household pets, not outside
scavengers. As well, he said that the children of Israel were to be fed first,
and this meant that she might expect that her turn would come, if she waited.
A WORD FOR YOU TODAY : WHEN YOU COME TO JESUS, COME WITH HUNGER AS SOMEONE WHO COME TO A BANQUET WHERE THE MEAL IS SERVED ON THE PLATFORM OF COVENANT-RELATIONSHIP.

LESSON 4 : Jesus is teaching us today that EVERYTHING AVAILABLE IN THE COVENANT IS ACCESSIBLE TO YOU BY YOUR FAITH, YOUR PERSEVERANCE AND YOUR PERSISTENCE
Instead
of taking offense at Jesus' declaration, the woman turned the rebuff to her
advantage. “True, Lord, yet even the dogs under the table eat the children’s
crumbs”.
Impressed,
and pleased at her great faith and persistence, Jesus granted her wish –
‘Because of what you have said, go on your way. The evil spirit has gone out of
your daughter! . And she went home. And she found that the child was lying in
bed. The evil spirit had gone.
PRAYER = PRAYER = PRAYER
😤 My God my Father,
Arise and let all the evil projects of the enemies of the Lord against me, my family, my church, my country and my loved ones be aborted and left off right now IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME !!!
Genesis 11:8 "So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city."
😤 My God my Father,
Arise and confound the language of his enemies. Let them misunderstand one another. Let them start fighting and quarrelling one another IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME !!!
Genesis 11:9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the men of Shechem; and the men of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech:

Wherever even two of the enemies of the Lord are gathered together, arise and scatter them IN JESUS NAME !!!
1 Samuel 11:11 And it was [so] on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.
😤 My God my Father,
Wherever the enemies of the Lord will gather against me, my family, my church, my country and my loved ones, arise and let all the creation join the Lord to discomfort them IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME !!!
2 Samuel 22:15 And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.
Psalms 18:14 Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.
Psalms 144:6 Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them.
Isaiah 41:16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, [and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.

Arise, disconnect and disorganize any organization of wickedness starting from the head to the toes IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME !!!
Psalms 68:21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, [and] the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
2 Kings 25:5 And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all his army were scattered from him.
Jeremiah 52:8 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
Zechariah 13:7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man [that is] my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Let all the enemies of God flee before our country today and right now IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME !!!
Psalm 68:1 ... let them also that hate him flee before him.

We need you and only you
Psalms 73:25 Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and [there is] none upon earth [that] I desire beside thee.
SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
