40 DAYS AT JESUS FEET MIRACLE 22 "THIS IS MY SEASON OF GOOD THINGS"

SATURDAY 07.10.2017
MIRACLE 22 : JESUS HEALS THE MAN WITH A WITHERED HAND
READINGS : Matthew 12:9-14; Mark 3:1-6; Luke 6:6-11

Today’s miracle is happening in the synagogue on the Sabbath day. Despite the trap of the Pharisees, Jesus heals and restores whole a man which had his hand withered.

Before Jesus could perform the miracle on behalf of this man, the Bible says that Jesus made two important statements:

A man is better than sheep.
- It is lawful to do well

STATEMENT 1 : BY CREATION, YOU ARE THE BEST OF ALL GOD’S CREATURES

The first statement made by Jesus before healing this man is found in Matthew 12:12 where Jesus says:
"How much is a man worth more than a sheep?"
Through this declaration Jesus affirms that you and I, as human beings, are more precious (we have more value) than animals.

The same affirmation is found in Matthew 6:25 whereby the Lord Jesus Christ says to his disciples,
“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”
QUESTIONS
  • -         Do you appreciate and value your humanity?
  • -         Do you know your true worth?
  • -         What is your perspective on the worth of your life?
  • -      Does it happen to you to despise yourself for one reason or another?
Today, it is important that you know your true identity.

👉 From Scriptures, you have been created in God’s image and God’s likeness.
In Genesis 1:27, the Bible says, "So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
👉 From Scriptures, you have been created to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish and have dominion over the earth, the air and the sea.
In Genesis 1:28, the Bible says, "God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth
👉 From Scriptures, you have been fearfully and wonderfully created.
Read and pray with Genesis 1:28 "God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth"

STATEMENT : 2 BY REDEMPTION, GOOD THINGS ARE YOUR ENTITLEMENT IN CHRIST.

In Matthew 12:12, Jesus Christ says, “It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days.”

What does Jesus mean by this? By this declaration, Jesus simply means that because He is our Sabbath, good things are our lot and our portion in him

1) ALL THE PROMISES OF GOD CONCERNING YOUR LIFE ARE GOOD THINGS THAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR YOU IN CHRIST.

In Joshua 23: 14, the Bible says,
"And, behold, this day I [am] going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, [and] not one thing hath failed thereof.

2) THE GOOD THINGS GOD HAS IN STORE FOR YOU IN CHRIST ARE ALSO PHYSICAL, MATERIAL AND FINANCIAL BLESSINGS

👉When Joseph sent gifts to his father to move him from Canaan to Egypt, the Bible describes these gifts as THE GOOD THINGS OF EGYPT. We read that in Genesis 45:23,
"And to his father he sent after this [manner]; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way.."
👉 When Israel has reached the promised land, the Bible says that the Lord has given them houses filled with good things as can be read in Deuteronomy 6:11,
"And houses full of all good [things], which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;".
👉 In the Book of Psalms, David confirms that those who seek the Lord will never lack good things. We read it in Psalm 34:10,
"The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing]."
👉 The Lord Jesus Christ also confirms to his disciples that the Father provides good things to his children who make demand of them in prayer. In Matthew 7:11 he says,

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?"
QUESTIONS

  •  Is there anything in your life that is withered? Is it your health? Is it your spiritual life? Is it your finance? Is it your relationship?
  • What is the area of your life where you expect restoration from the Lord?
= PRAYER = PRAYER = PRAYER=

Today we will not ask the Lord for anything. We will only thank him:
