⏩ COVENANT MONTH OF DIFFERENCE ⏪ DAY 5 "BECAUSE OF YOU THE KING WON'T SLEEP"

SCRIPTURE : Esther 6:1
"On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king."
GOOD NEWS : The Lord will stir up the mind of your benefactor who will not be able to sleep or rest until he/she really remembers you and rewards you!

Mordecai was a Jewish captive in the city of Susa. He was one of the gatemen in the palace of King Xerxes of Persia. He had uncovered a conspiracy that two of the king's servants were planning against the king. This was recorded in the book of the annals in the presence of the king (see Esther 2:21-23). Nevertheless, he was not rewarded instantly in anyway for this.

When Haman, an enemy of the Jews was planning to destroy the Jews because of Mordecai, the king could not sleep that night.

The inability to sleep of the king made him to order his servants to bring the book of the record of his reign to him. As they were reading the records, the action of Mordecai was mentioned. The king inquired about the reward that Mordecai received for it.

When he realized that he has not been rewarded, he ordered Haman to honor him accordingly. The inability to sleep of the king brought honor and recognition to Mordecai.

WHAT DID MORDECAI DO ?

1) WAIT PATIENTLY THE LORD TO REWARD YOU AT HIS APPOINTED TIME

Mordecai never complained for not being rewarded instantly neither was he expecting the king to reward him. He never did anything to be rewarded. He waited the appropriate time to be rewarded. When it came, the same way he has delivered the king from death, the same way the king delivered him from Haman's plot and promoted him in his stead
Ecclesiastes 3:11 "It is beautiful how God has done everything at the right time. He has put a sense of eternity in people’s minds. Yet, mortals still can’t grasp what God is doing from the beginning to the end of time.
WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT : If you ever do something that deserves recognition, and you are forgotten, God sees what was done and He will reward you in His own time. Honoring Mordecai would have been good before, but honoring him now will be twice as good.

2) WORSHIP THE LORD ONLY AND BOW BEFORE HIM ONLY

When Haman came in power, his desire was to see everyone in the kingdom bow before him. Mordecai refused to bow before any mortal man than his God. When the appointed time came, the same way he honored God by not bowing before men, the Lord God honored him before men by promoting him
Esther 3:2 "And all the king’s servants, that [were] in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did [him] reverence.

WHAT IS YOUR PRAYER TODAY?

SO SHALL IT BE!
JESUS IS LORD!
