MIRACLE 5 : JESUS HEALS THE MAN BORN BLIND
TEXT : JOHN 9:1-10
Today's miracle is about the healing of a man born blind. As we meditate over it, I pray that someone who was born with any specific challenge in his body, mind or soul will be granted a miracle in the Name of Jesus Christ!
From the reading of this text, we discover the following lessons:
LESSON 1 : GOD HAS A GLORIOUS PURPOSE BEHIND THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF YOUR LIFE
Not all the afflictions are rooted in the sin of the past. Some are connected to the glory of the future
When the disciples of Christ saw that blind man, their question to Jesus was
"Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?'" (verse 1-2).
But Jesus' answer from verse 3 to 5 was
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned,' said Jesus, 'but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.'"
The difference between the disciples' perspective and Jesus' perspective was that
<<<The disciples were looking for the cause but Jesus was pointing them to the purpose>>>
Jesus' disciples wanted to know THE CAUSE of the affliction but Jesus revealed them the PURPOSE of the affliction
To confirm this truth, let's look at Joseph's life. Joseph was not in prison because of any sin committed in the past. Rather, he was in prison because of the throne awaiting for him in the future.
LESSON 2 : IT IS ILLEGAL TO PAY FOR THE CRIME OF YOUR ANCESTORS
From the law, God himself states that no child should be punished for its parents' crimes
We read it in Deuteronomy 24:16 and in Ezekiel 18:19-20
LESSON 3 : JESUS CHRIST IS GOD
Healing blind eyes is the work of the Lord, Yahweh, Jehovah. Nowhere in the Bible a born blind man has ever been healed by any prophet. This miracle is another scriptural proof of Jesus' Divinity and Messianic mandate.
In Psalm 146:8, the Bible says, "The Lord opens the eyes of the blind"
In Isaiah 35:5, it is written, "Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped."
LESSON 4 : EMBRACE GOD'S PROCESS BEFORE YOU ENJOY GOD'S RESULT
Jesus led the blind man through a 3 steps-process before the miracle:
1st thing : He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, (verse 6)
STATEMENT : Just as God used the dust of the ground and clay to do a work of creation in Genesis, so Jesus did a work of creation with dust and clay for this man.
2nd thing : He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, (verse 6)
STATEMENT : What that man was lacking at his birth, the divine creator provided it to him
3rd thing : He sent the man to go and wash his eyes in the pool of Siloam (verse 7)
STATEMENT : Siloam means "sent". Jesus is the Sent One. As the Sent One, Jesus comes to reconnect your life with the very reason why you have been sent using n this world.

Father, by the power in the blood a of Jesus Christ, I declare illegal any affliction in my life rooted in the crimes, faults, mistakes and sins of my ancestors in the Name of Jesus Christ!

PRAYER 5 : I WANT TO SEE CLEAR
Father, open my eyes both spiritual and physical so that I will see clearly my destiny, my God given potential in the name of Jesus Christ !
